  1. No reactions are like Sabres or winners, a was at the 94 game vs new Jersey, that place was deafening

  2. Thank God it’s not Joe Beninati. I only like hearing him when his Capitals win. As for Sam Rosen, I feel sorry for him if he did this game too. ‘Cause he’s no stranger to 7.7 seconds. He broadcasted most of the Rangers playoffs in ‘94, including Valeri Zelepukin tying the game for New Jersey. The whole stadium, even Brodeur thought the Rangers were gonna move on to Vancouver.

  3. I remember almost waking up my whole neighborhood as like a 10 year old watching this game 😂😂 ughhh I’m 24 now. Being a Sabres fan is tough, we’ve sucked since drury and briere left, crazy to think.

  4. And now Chris Drury is the New York Rangers' GM… trying to acquire Jack Eichel from the Buffalo Sabres.

  5. Pretty small issue but why the fuck doesn't the camera guy show the players rush Afinogenov after his goal? Takes away from the entire moment.

  6. The rosters of Sabres that time were stacked. Having Drury, Briere, Gaustad, Vanek, Pominville, Afinogenov, Kotalik, Mair, Peters were amazing to watch.

  7. I remember I punched a hole in my apartment door after the afinogenov goal. I was 19 in my college apartment and I thought we had the series lead against the number 1 seed Sabres, and losing that fashion was just too much to take lol

  8. One of my favorit SCP clips ever. RJ's voice and call, the crowd and player reaction, all of it is why the SCP are the absolute best.

  9. As a Rangers fan this was a crushing loss. I grew up about 40 miles from Buffalo and I root for the Sabres unless they’re playing the Rangers. As of right now, Sabres have been absolutely horrible for several years. About time they got back on track.

  10. the sabres need to clean house starting with kevyn adams. he sucks. they also need a decent goaltender. otherwise its going to remain like this for years to come. Adams never does anything major to get this team going in the right direction. I am a big sabres fan and it kills me to see them struggling every year.

  11. Maxim's Wet and Wild moment. Wet and Wild is a water slide toy that is played in the backyard during the summer.

  12. End of RJs last season…had to come back to this…thanks for my a whole childhood of incredible calls of great moments…

  13. Watching this back on the day of RJ’s banner hanging. Literally makes me cry seeing the pandemonium amongst the fans.. and hearing the excitement in RJ’s voice. He’ll be missed.. just hope we can have some more moments like this for him after he retires.

  14. This is my favorite call ever, had to revisit it tonight Bc of RJ night and now I’m in tears. This fanbase has suffered so much but I feel so bad for RJ, the last decade of his career he never commentated a playoff game. Once the Sabres get back in it I want RJ to cover one game.

  15. After Rick Jeanneret went through his usual hysterics, he told the audience what happened. Is similar situations, many radio announcers forget to remind listeners what occurred.

  16. I remember watching this game in 8th grade I was home alone lights off and just the game on. Most memorable and intense moment in my life as a sabres fan. You could hear screaming up and down the street. Buffalo was sabres crazy then good times

  17. I honestly thought the sabres were going to win the cup after seeing this game. deep down I really wanted RJ to call a Stanley cup victory. And was robbed of it in 1999. To this day I stand with lindy ruff NO GOAL!!!!!!!!!!

  18. I grew up in Michigan. Had no affiliation to the Sabres growing up. Maxim Afinogenov was my favorite player and who I tried to imitate my game after growing up. This 06 team is literally a staple in my childhood. Every time I watch Drury and Afinogenov’s goals, I get chills and tears. And it’s been that way since 2006… Crazy!

  19. Rick Jeanneret. The best to ever do it. Period. End of story.

    This is not subjective.
