I thought everyone said the only thing holding laf back was his minutes? What’s the excuse now? Kid is dogshite rn

When was the last time we had a sweat free win? It’s been awhile. I get the East is a beast and there’s very few bad teams but this was one of them. On top of that they were on a back to back. On top of that they had their backup goalie. On top of that Shesty got the start.

Great teams don’t lose these games and play down to bad teams like this. Blech.

  3. FoghornLeghorn99

Things GG will do about the continued missed shots and PP:

    – nothing

    That’s the whole list.

  4. DryProgress4393

I’d like to blame that one on the stomach bug that is apparently going around the locker room but then what’s the excuse for the play earlier this season ?

  5. Nickistheman22

How the fuck does Blais have a stanley cup but is complete dogshit

  6. i miss kreider. the powerplay is bad and needs to be changed. and i’m sad that i spent money to see such a pathetic performance

  7. Zer0flames

You lost to a team who isn’t trying to win.

The 5 on 5 was dog shit. Tried the same cross ice pass time and time again, shocked when the back checking forward picked it off every time.

The power play is some how worse. Stale. Stale Stale Stale.

I don’t think any forward had a good night. Maybe Chytil? He had a bit of jump to him.

Laf is playing scared. I honestly think his issue is the same as Kakko earlier: Confidence. The talent and skill is there, but I think the pressure and frustration is really showing itself.

Key can’t over skate the puck, but whatever. Trouba can’t miss far side on a 2 on 1 down a man, but it’s Trouba.

    Trap game. Team got trapped.

  8. GoRangers5

Bad loss to take, the February schedule is bruuutal.

  9. LetsGoNYR

What does Laf do? Kakko back to almost invisible too.

  10. Crimson3312

Giants took all the energy today, bounce back against CBJ

  11. roscomikotrain

New guy lesyshyn looked like he has some speed and tenacity

  12. somniumstate94

Seemed like a lot of individual efforts today, lines out of whack bc of injury losses, and too many mistakes. I’m concerned about Laffy and want him to succeed, but I’m optimistic moving forward. See y’all tomorrow night!

  13. obvioussponge06

You know what when you think of it as trading an NYR win for a Giants win you feel a lot better

  14. Zero-jiggler

Side note, kinda wild that r/hockey hates trouba so much that they’re shitting their pants over that hit on armia. Even if they weren’t wrong about him being a dirty player, that’s such a nothing play that it’s legitimately hilarious to see them losing their minds over it.

  15. IHSCOUTII1973

Why did we just get completely dogwalked by a Bedard-tank bottomfeeder on home ice? Why did we constantly turn over the puck, why is there no structure in our game, why are we allowing numerous high danger chances on Shesterkin, who thank God had a great night to make this loss just a little less of an embarrassment?

After the Columbus game, the Rangers will go 2 weeks with only 4 games, 3 of which are against teams that have better records than us. Hopefully, the Rangers actually do play better when they’re up against tough challengers.

An annoying loss that stings in a bad way, but not the end of the world. Let’s hope Kreider and Gauthier come back in soon. These new lines, while temporary, are of course a downgrade.

And as always, for what I’m sure isn’t the last time, CHANGE THE FUCKING POWER PLAY

  16. FoghornLeghorn99

Over two seasons with Gallant 5 in 5 scoring has been non existent and the PP that was top tier has since turned to garbage and he refuses to address it.

He’s riding the coattails of Fox and Shesty, this season without those two they’re a bottom feeder.

I’m glad we have them, but they played more like a team last year and they were excellent on special teams, at least.

  17. explosivebuttfarts

For fucks sake, this fucking team. I get that Kreider and Gauthier being out creates holes in the lineup. But that third period was fucking stupid. Fuck off with that garbage, the toddlers that go out and play in-between periods can handle the puck better than these chuckle-fucks today.

Got the puck? Better turn it over because I hate winning.

    Have some fucking heart.

  18. mbsmilford

I’ve said it before you’re not going 82 and 0. Learn and move on. Concerned about injuries mounting up but that’s all.

  19. Ass_Handed1228

That was honestly pitiful. Was at the game, and the crowd energy was non-existent. They gave us nothing to cheer about. I don’t understand how you beat good teams, should be carrying over momentum, and then lose to a league bottom team at home with no effort. The reverse retros gotta go…

  20. Nuevayork22

Laf absolutely sucks. At least our cap problems aren’t as bad as we thought. Laf is gonna be lucky to even scrape 1.5.

  21. jimmyburt64

Giants had all our focus tonight. Figured we’d drop one.

  22. NotFoley

I watched the Giants game instead, which seems like it was a much better use of my time.

  23. deniavdija8

0-11 in 4 games but yep the pp unit is too good to change

  24. kiddocontay

had the game on a 2nd tv, but was paying more attention to the Giants game instead, which seems like i was better off.

from what I did see, they just seemed flat and uninterested tonight. thought after that thriller vs Dallas, they’d be fired up and ready… but I guess not. oh well. onto the next one.

  25. Envelopen

I like our d core but come deadline thats what we need to upgrade, whatever system they play works but it just works because igor is unreal. Its way to easy to get close to igor, defense really needs the paddling. Not the end of the world tonight but hate dropping winnable games. I will say a positive almost every game we play of late is winnable, very good signs of a playoff team that doesnt get discouraged by the -PING

  26. So can teams opt for a 6v5 powerplay instead of 5v4?
