Question for nick and Isaac. Does the terrible record without luka actually help his MVP odds or is it just something Mavs fans are saying to make us feel better
The Mavericks have gone from being the best watch in the NBA to the most frustrating. It is due to injuries, but does that matter in terms of desire to watch? Last year they were on the 2nd best run in the NBA at this point in time. This year? Are we watching their season crater? Is it prophetic that Sacramento is the team that just passed them? Did the Mavs destroy themselves last year along with the Jazz and Suns?
The podcast remains a good watch.

Spencer needs to be more aggressive all the time. Not just non Luka games and non Luka minutes. He needs to assert himself offensively as an attacker.

If the Mavs can't get Bojan on the trade deadline I hope they will push a trade for Deni Avdija. That kid has a lot of potential it's just that the Wizards always use him as their 3&D guy but if you watch him play in Europe, his handles and playmaking ability are good. He can be a back up point guard on this team.
It might benefit Wood if he put on about 15lbs.

I see all these negative comments just like I have all season. Why is it it people can't be a little patient? The Mavs do NOT want to give up any first rounders until the season is over. They will have all of their first round picks available to make a bigger move. Not certain why people don't understand that. Hopefully they resign Wood and make a smaller trade at the deadline as long as it's for getting a decent player and not some old guy that plays one year. Also, NO to Zack Levine. Too injury prone and it will not end well.

There are definitely minutes to spare. Kidd has to stop this rotation buffoonery. If it’s not working, use the pieces you have at your disposal in different scenarios. Like nic said wood got it over time, so can hardy!
Really hope the front office dont mess things up with trades and contracts because we got a lot of things going for us now and if we can aquire a second star without losing our best pieces I think there is hope

I would just want to add …. – Hardy was treated like 26-28 pick. Now he is treated like 26-14 pick ( just outside of lottery). From that he makes – In January – 00:17:30 MPG , 10,86
PPG , 0,4 STL, 1,3 AST , 1,5 RBD , 45,57% FG , 33,3% 3P , 75% FT – that`s the numbers lottery draft players make …. He could be in All-Rookie team this year. At least second. He is just that good. I could easily take him in top 10.
God please make the trade for Westbrook now. After another awful ending to the Lakers’ game last night they are ready to ship him out of town. Dump Tim, Bertans and McGee and give Russ a nice office with a window. It’s time to start playing for 2023-24. We want to be peaking this time next year. Play the kids (Hardy, Green, Frank) and let them grow with Luka and just do the best you can. Stop playing Luka 40 minutes and let’s see what we have with wood and Dinwiddie. We obviously need TWO GUYS to make the offense and defense elite. Draymond and DeRozen make sense and hopefully this management takes a step back to take two steps forward next year. It’s time. This is a .500 team without Jalen and it still wasn’t nearly good enough with him. We need our team good and deep next year. Extend Christian(and Dinwiddie) and assume he’s a good 3rd option on a championship team…..Like Jordan Poole or Marcus Smart. Hope we have something in Hardy. Likely not. Not yet. Pray Kleber, Dodo and Bullock can stay healthy and productive. A lot of things have to go right but that’s how it is for every team. The great young teams in the west are coming for us. It’s time to take big risk to compete.

This team is barely beating lottery teams with BOTH Luka & Wood playing together. It was a bad choice to alternate them having games off.
