Yeah, that 3 million cap hit and his sketchy performance of late? Not surprised. So many teams are really up against it. A few years ago, he gets claimed. Not this season.
even cal peterson cleared this season
Ask not, "What have you done?" Ask, "What can you do?"
Neds young and goalie development tends to be weird, coming from a Carolina defence to a Detroit defence makes more sence why his development might have gotten messed up, unless Ned really wasnt all that good and Carolina carried him, well will see, good luck Ned
Ned never recovered from knocking that goal into his own net. Hopefully he can make a comeback.
Yes, Carolina did have a point. He's an AHL goalie at best
Has Mr Yzerman recovered his 4.125 mill yet?? I realize to you, he saved 1.125 mil or 21%, but it wouldn't have cost him 5.25 in the first place?? Let's imagine a GARBURATOR, now imagine starting with 5.25 million dollars in 5 dollar bills … when 4.125 mill dollars gets around, Mr Yzerman's arm gets tired and he stops. Now that's 1,050,000 $5 bills. Wait, we're not thru, with 225,000 $5 bills left, Mr Yzerman's arm is absolutely exhausted and stops. Hold on I say, there's always the chance we can rebuild the $5 bills. They've been shredded and are showing their age, but there's always the chance to rebuild them.
yzerman, most overrated gm in the league easily 😂
Suprised chicago didn’t go for it. What’s the harm
It's unlikely Carolina gave up Nedeljkovic after an excellent year of service. They must have seen something in Ned that scared them into trading him.
All about the contract. Bad contracts don't get claimed
No cap space, baby!
I would surmise Ned wasn't shopped, and Yzerman was first to the table, similar with Husso. Carolina wanted VETS in goal since trading Ned, because the GM and Brindamour know they needed depth/vets/been there and done that in goal for a deep run. Yzerman was first, and keep in mind Bernier was in the mix because they were looking for good vets, which Bernier was and is. Carolina obviously honed in on their current goalies through trades and were able to get them. There is really no mystery out of logic on this one. Ned is good goalie, who has a lot of time to get better, as goalies typically do.
