  1. Heddy tried to hard to give Stammer #500. Very "meh" game on the most part, shut down the Krakheads when they needed to. Poor Vasy gets another SO taken away off a deflection.

That Nick Paul sequence was beautiful. ** Also, who tf gives out the stars of the game? 2 for the Kraken, and Nick Paul? Hello?

  2. I feel bad for Vasy. Dude should have at least 4 shutouts but these fluke goals keep going in. We have got to have more bad goals against us then any other teams. Great win though!

  3. Go Bolts!! Love the punk rock intros!! That Screeching Weasel the other day was awesome! Keep up the good work!

  4. You can tell Hedman really wanted to give Stammer 500 tonight, but the lane didn't open and put the game away. Great night by the guys. Now time for a few games north of the boarder

  5. A good win vs. a hot team. The way they won is important as well. They played a responsible and details-oriented game for the most part. Gourde's line matched up against Point's line and did a decent job nullifying them. Paul's line and Belle's line were key in that they imposed their game on the Kraken by spending long shifts in their end forechecking them into the ice. The NZ was a much tighter and north/south venture in this game than the Bolts have played in a lot of games this season. They didn't spend time in their own end fumbling the outlet or turning the puck over in the NZ for the most part.

Once they got the lead and extended it, they played to control the outcome rather than pad their stats. The attention to preventing the other team from scoring and capitalizing on their chances while the other team is pressing was good to see. I like that they didn't go into a full shell trying to prevent the Kraken from scoring, but spent time possessing the puck in the Kraken end and just burning the clock, defending by forechecking and playing with the puck. More of this on the road and they'll fix their mediocre road record.

  6. On to the Canucks..I wish they would stop trying so damn hard to feed the puck to Stammer.. Let it come naturally
