  1. Looks like Kane will return soon, if not against the Kraken soon and that’s a good thing. Kane doesn’t appear to be a man anyone pushes so I suspect he wants to play as much as the team wants him. Agreed on your take for the latest rumours. Can’t see the money working. Interesting times ahead. Keep the vids rolling.

  2. Kane's comment on the strength of his wrist is interesting (worrying?) … I wonder how much not having full strength in the wrist will affect his shot.

  3. I think all talk that Drai or McD leaving shows more insecurity from the fans about their city and their organization. It’s silly. Both players have started lives here and they’ll start to have kids and their friends are here etc. if either leaves it’s because they can’t get the money they are due at all. But most likely it’ll be a Malken and Sid situation until they retire. That’s the most likely scenario and really anything else is a waste of anxiety 😉

  4. Yikes Broberg and Bouchard together is a defensive disaster… even for a 3rd pairing. As much as Nurse is playing like a 4-5M dollar man we are stuck with him. So who do we get rid of for a shut down D man. My guess is Foegle or Puljijarvi plus a 1st draft pick and a prospect for Top 4 shut down D man.

  5. Usually I think trades in the same div crazy but seems like a good deal for both sides a Horvat for Holloway, pulljarvi and pick deal

  6. While I want Kane back I don't want him "at risk" or "pushing it too hard". I'm sure the doctors will do their best to prevent that but still, it would be worse to have him injured in his first game back because patience was lacked for a week or two.

In so far as Horvat goes for me it's the money that doesn't really work especially allowing for McLeod, Kostin, JP (if he's still an Oiler) and other RFA's / UFA's needing contracts. The money will be very tight, even with not having to pay for Lucic etc. dropping off the books (and no more Oscar Klefbom on LTIR (or Smith)).

As you mentioned Leon is only a few years from UFA and Connor only one year after that. Take a wild guess what kind of salary they will command (start at the maximum and keep it there is a fairly good guess). Yes, the cap is "expected" to rise but "expected" and "does" can be two very different things. It's like knowing you have overdraft on your bank account and spending it because you're "supposed" to get a raise or bonus. Until the money is in your hands it's as good as a non-witnessed verbal contract.

Again, congratulations to Stuart and Chloe on the birth of their son Beau.

Great vid as always. Take care all

  7. He wouldn’t play if he’s still that hurt. You can see Kane on the ice. He looks great, he’s shooting and strong on the puck

  8. wonder what masatoro yamamota (realistically)would get us in a trade. Sometimes us oiler fans over value our players.

  9. I knew it! I saw Bo was leaving and thought "doesn't he feel like the perfect replacement for Bergeron…" cuz you know those demons have to always be relevant and a pain in everyone's ass lol

  10. How about Foggle, Jesse, Ceci & 2024 1st for Dumba and a cheap tough 4th liner. Then Kulak, Ryan a B prospect (Lavoie, Kemp, Tullio etc) + 2 2nd Rd picks for Gavrikov. New D looks like this
    Nurse. Dumba
    Gavrikov Barrie
    Broberg Bouch

  11. The Canucks are not going gift the Oilers with Horvat … there are dozens of other teams that they would rather trade with – all outside of the Pacific division.

  12. I'm very pleased to see that Woodcroft is officially no dummy. It is now crystal clear Woodcroft greatly values what big Vinny brings to the line up. Even with a broken nose Woodcroft won't let him go. That's fantastic news! Oiler fans should be super pumped about Vinny remaining in the line up. He is absolutely a difference maker in our D core. Vinny the (castle) wall.

  13. I feel like mcdavid and drai need eachother in order to win a stanley cup. Theyre the 2 best players in the world. I just dont see them splitting up and going elsewhere. They laid the foundation there. Theyre getting closer and closer each year. I just dont see it.
