I mean, I don’t mind them modelling the team after the Penguins, but if you don’t have a Crosby or Malkin level player, it’s going to be much harder to have long term, sustainable success. Two franchise centers down the middle is pretty much impossible to match.

Actually, signing Gonchar out of retirement and inserting him right into the lineup would probably make the Canucks blue line better by default, despite his 48 years of age.
