  1. As much as JP and these pen panties want to twist Rutherford into Benning to create outrage and ratings. Benning never wanted to retool with young players he retooled with veterans that's a whole lot different then Rutherfords plan.

  2. Gino kept me a Canucks fan through the mid-to-late 90s when the team started the Messier era. When the game was going into the 3rd period with the Canucks down a few goals, you never wanted to shut off the TV because you know Gino would be out there, stirring up some shit.

  3. Total disrespect by the management to hold a press conference the day after Gino passes. Also, where was our GM during the press conference? The Canucks hold a major press conference and the GM was nowhere to be seen.

    Ridiculous!!

  4. Todays press confrence merely solitified what many others felt was already the case currently, and whats been the case for a decade. Hands are tied with bad contracts both this regime and last, and a rebuild is off the table. This ownership groups is lost to their own self dilusion and only exists within its own bubble of clueless self delusion, surrounded by hires and media of a like mind. I want to like this team and its players so badly, but for the forseable future this team is nothing but a cockameme soap opra with new episodes every day. I hope every player that wants out gets out and goes to a better situation, and leaves ownership in shambles as it deserves nothing less.

  5. Watched the press conference; a lot of contradictions made by Rutherford. Is that because he's not clear HIMSELF of the direction of the team moving forward? Also, not great optics overall, bringing out medical staff, who can't answer questions. "We do a good job here. Further than that, we're not at liberty to comment." Yeah, thanks for coming.

  6. Boudreau has been disrespectfully and unprofessionally treated by Rutherford from day one. And it continues today with talk about interviewing coaching candidates to replace him. This is not lost on Canuck fans. Who would rather see Rutherford go. Instead of Boudreau. After all, after a year on the job,. Rutherford has done zero to address the salary cap issue that has plagued the team. Zero. Except give a generous contract to JT Miller. Who has since gone AWOL. Boudreau almost got them to the playoffs last year. Let's not forget that.
