It would be pretty cool if the team did pregame warm up in the normal blue and green, then after playing the second part of the video hit the ice in the skates. Much like when the Lions surprised everybody with the gunmetal gray. Nobody saw that coming.

I’m betting they’ll do it on Wednesday. They’ve already confirmed there will be a pre-game tribute to Gino, debuting the new skate jersey would make sense.

It’s for sure happening and the fans who complain about how shit ownership and management are will be the same fans who rush to buy these new jerseys, putting a huge amount of money into Aqua’s pockets and proving to him that what happens on the ice doesn’t matter.

My theory:
-Horvat wears the skate and loves it so much that he can’t bear to leave it and signs for 5M/yr for 8 years
-Bedard sees the new jersey and decides he will wear no other jersey except this one, and refuse to sign with any other team except the Canucks
-Miller sees the “aggressive” colors in his own end and starts to aggressively chase and backcheck
-OEL retires because the red and yellow “hurts his eyes”
-The playoffs are played but the finalists cede the Stanley Cup to the Vancouver Canucks because our jerseys slap

Just retire this outdated design already. The slurping is exhausting. There’s nothing redeeming about the logo and colors that was outdated in 90’s, except fan’s sentimental memories of Linden hugging McLean. Quit living in the past, even if the present sucks.

They somehow found a way to make me hate the skate jersey. I think it’s the lack of colour on the collar and broken stripes. Also, there should be some white in the logo to make things more clear. So basically everything that they changed
