I was at the game, and out of 18,177 fans there, a couple thousand were Wings fans. It's always a bit of a surprise when that many show up.
For the first time since Nichushkin's injury back in early December the Avs are looking like the Avs again.

Avs finally playing loose and fun hockey. Maybe it's because Nichushkin's back in the lineup, but the offense flowed much better today. THIS is what we want to see and what the Avs needed. Starting to get their swagger back

The score on the Kraken Lightning game is definitely not indicative of how the game went. Two ENGs in the last minute forty five were very unfortunate, but it was really quite the close game with good goaltending and defense. A few moments felt sluggish for the Kraken, and I don't really know why. Also poor Matty Beniers, he was getting absolutely beat up that game both in taking hits and in blocking shots (one with the family jewels). I kinda felt that this was how it was going to go unfortunately, but here's to the next game!

In fairness to Seattle’s prowess for scoring, I’m not sure the Lightning gave them many chances to show it. Defense was solid, shots were kept to a minimum, and other than a fluke bouncer nothing was going past Vasy.
Great comeback win by the Devils over the Sharks tie the game late and won in the shootout which I think they are not good at but stole two points but not a good effort by the Devils in the first period
I like how all the “Avs suck” commenters are silenced the past 72 hours lol

Seattle is in the thick of the toughest part of the schedule. Just finished off a 7 game roadie next day 1:00 pm start then play in Edmonton tomorrow. Shouldn't hold anything against them today and tomorrow

Devils just need to win some home games now so we can finally justify their record this year. Honestly, i'm fine with ugly wins, that's where reliable goaltending is important to bail you out, so, yeah, thank you VV.

When you're a young team, you need to be brought back down to earth every now & then.
Hopefully, they'll learn from this & remember that despite their amazing run, they're not elite. Yet.

It is just weird to me that the first goal didn't get called back in the wings game even if it is consistent. Husso also has a right to be in that spot too and got to it first. I think Osgood said it on the broadcast, but if that was a player who was knocked over it could have pretty easily been an interference call. Why isn't that the case when its a goalie instead?
I'm not going to lie, I'm amused by all of the extra time in Sharks games that Shannon has to endure.
