Lacking in talent. Pelech is a huge loss. Losing two top six forwards in Palmeri and Wally doesn't help.
A rookie head coach who can't motivate or push the buttons of a veteran laden team with multiple leaders = old stale roster past their prime just playing it out for their paychecks. These isles cashed it in after game 7 vs. tb. Nothing more to prove. No incentive for new deals to play for since they are all playing out long term deals. This starts at the top. The guy who put this team together is to blame. Got high on one flukey ecf run and set this team up for long term failure. He also hired this in over his head coach instead of hiring a vet coach better suited for a veteran team. How is bowness doing these days lou? That jets team had internal problems and struggled last year. Now they sit at top of west. And lou wont even use waivers to get some scoring pop. Had vrana, tolvanin sitting out there. Maybe they could have added a little scoring 'depth' while slugs like palmieri and inconsistant as f wahlstrom were out. Instead he brings up useless holmstrom, sees raty get 7 min. a game as dufour, ish rot in ahl. Oh well this is lou. He wont get creative to fix isles. He just does things his old school way.

Lacking offense. Lacking a meritocracy. Lacking a real GM. Lacking common sense. Bums like holmstrom, Bailey, palms, clutter, Martin & beau need to go.
Lame Lambust isn’t even the coach. Dinosaur Lou is pulling the strings. Lou is a horrible control freak, Jab mandating prick. This is all on ownership now.
