This core is so unmotivated and it starts with the captain. I genuinely hope we trade him and just go full Yzerman era. Only good pieces from Holland are Berg/Veleno/and Ras right now. Rest of this team can get traded. Seider and Raymond era we are gonna set up to be ELITE
The injuries killed this team, seasons over. Get another high draft pick, top 10 prefferably, which shouldn't be hard. New FAs & definitely trade some players away before the deadline. We don't need the Rasmussens, Ernes, Zadinas, Vranas, Hroneks or the Osterles crippling this team next season with incompetence, inconsistency or just flat out absence. Hronek is terrible at defense and it shows when we play good teams. Time for a complete overhaul and a direction that's worth following and tuning into. And actually bring up the young talent from the AHL next season. Soderblom, Hanas, Edvinsson, Johansson, etc. And also I hate to say this but Dylan Larkin is a terrible Captain. Idc if he's the best on the team right now. He got the C when the Wings were trash and all he knows is losing. It's not good to have that in a leader. This team needs big body's who are willing to drop the gloves and at the very least one solid goal scorer until the prospects move their way up.
Did Holland really set us up for a 10 year rebuild or is Yzerman still taking his time and knows something everyone else doesn’t? Didn’t expect playoffs this season but definitely didn’t expect this. They’re players on this team I can’t understand why are still here and most of the prospect pipeline doesn’t excite me. I’m lost but these are the questions that keep me up.
Okay, so can anyone explain other than a tank why we used Husso against Colorado on a back to back when the next team is Arizona? This is the first time in my 25+ year watching hockey I ever saw the better goalie being used for the more difficult team on a b2b.
Hey at last the Lion's represents Detroits postseason sports at last instead of a team like the Wings who clearly can't frickin can't do anything to be consistent.
