Samuel Montembeault has quietly been putting up impressive numbers. Justin Barron turned out the kind of performance we have been waiting for from him since he was traded to Montreal. Evgenii Dadonov and Mike Hoffman scored goals and dragged themselves out of Habs fans’ collective doghouse. Kirby Dach was impressive despite being separated from Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield. And Arber Xhekaj remains a source of joy for Canadiens fans everywhere.

1. Does Justin Barron's emergence make an Edmundson or Savard trade a certainty?
2. Follow-up…It seems like they want the young D to play and they are running out of available spots. It seems like they have too many younger guys (Guhle, Harris, Barron, Xhekaj) to invest in Kovacevic. How much longer will he be on this team?

Montambeault has been playing better than Allen all year. No clue why GH were playing Allen so much more than him especially when we all know Allen gets hurt every time he is overplayed.
