Josh Norris Back, Mathieu Joseph Scratched + Scott Wheeler Defends Ottawa Senators Prospect Ranking



It’s an interesting Ottawa Senators game day up against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Two players return from injury, but only one will enter the lineup.

Brandon Piller and Ross Levitan are stoked to have Josh Norris back for his first game since suffering a shoulder injury on October 22nd. Mathieu Joseph is also healthy, but is a healthy scratch. This is a move DJ Smith decided not to elaborate on. Why would DJ scratch a guy who can help the bottom six offence especially on a night where he is facing his brother for the first time ever with 50 friends and family in attendance?     Zenon Konopka is my choice for greatest faceoff guy Ottawa ever had. Always loved seeing him take the draw on the Power Play and skate as fast as he could to the bench after gaining possesion 🤣

    Why is Joseph a healthy scratch? what's wrong with DJ?? we traded Paul for Joseph which was a huge mistake, actually Jon Copper laugh at that move and with reason. Was it that bad of a trade to where we have to scratch the guy? I am getting so fed up with all these stupid coaching decision, I can't stand this incompetency anymore!!

    I think they're protecting Norris from faceoffs just because this injury is so closely mirroring pintos from last year.

    Might be taking too far but we all know Joseph and Chabot have been good friends for years… How does the core feel about this decision to scratch him knowing his whole families and friends will be there…
