Marchand shushes Puljujarvi tweet + Boston Bruins – New York Islanders preview

#BostonBruins #Bruins #NHLHockey

Does Brad Marchand know something, or does he just not want to hear about potential roster tweaks prior to the trade deadline?

The Boston Bruins winger sent a shush emoji to Ian McLaren after a suggestion that Edmonton Oilers winger Jesse Puljujarvi might do well in black and gold.

It wouldn’t be dissimilar to the Pavel Zacha situation, and seems worth considering at the very least.

Plus, Jeremy Swayman has been very good lately, and the Bruins might be in tough to maintain their league-leading 3.81 goals per game tonight against the New York Islanders.

  1. Puljujarvi playing most of his games last year with mcdavid or more, and only getting 14 goals yikes.. i think he's like a Ondřej Kaše, some skill but he isn't consistent enough to be a Bruin ha ha, i do agree with moving Trent down, he's great but if we could add a top 9 forward would be HUGE,

  2. ugh, you're forgetting about brett connollly, jared tinordi, one or both ritchie brother, etc. frankly, i think it's still possible that zacha's improved performance is a function of the "rising tide lifts all boats" adage, where the bruins' stellar record means every bruin looks pretty good right now. this was certainly the case with connolly when his performance was finally a better than just 'utterly disappointing' the year the caps won the stanley cup. zacha's goal this past weekend looked to me like an illustration of the adage: "even blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes." our nickname for connolly the year the caps won the stanley cup was indeed "blind squirrel."
