I agree. Liljegren and Sandin deserve a shot at being the number one pairing and Rielly is not scoring or defensively good at this point and time. Injuries are unpredictable and Robertson was not able to win over Keefe to be consistently in the lineup. He has lost any trade value currently. Timmons over Holl? It makes sense to me. Either way you look at it this team still doesn't have the brawn to deal with Boston, Tampa or other playoff type teams. I hope they win the cup, as a life long Leafs fan I am always hoping for that, but sandpaper and grit coupled with skill, consistent defence and goaltending gets you the cup. This season, so far I only see skill. Murray is unreliable in the net and Samsonov may not have what it takes to start game after game. Go Leafs! Go!
Leafs should pick up Radko Gudas to replace Holl.
Agree on Lilly, Sandy, Timmy and finding a replacement for number 3. Again, your view on Robertson I disagree with and so do most of the analyst on coverage. If he would be healthy and that got us an experienced number 2 left wing I would consider it (depending on the over all trade itself) I’m disappointed in the lack of playing time he’s had in the last 3 years and lack of opportunity in the NHL. Let’s see what next year will bring for him.
Robertson should have been traded long ago. Overrated small forward hasn’t lived up to his potential.
