I find it interesting that teams that have lower chances of making the playoffs have better chances of winning the cup. I mean, I get why this model could predict that based on team composition. But I think the delta is very surprising. If the Flames can JUST get in, they are one of the best odds to win the cup. Interesting!

Why don’t I see us on the graphic?
Yeah, they have TB at 6.6%… their model is clearly wrong.
Anaheim having that high of a chance of winning the lottery is horrifying. I’ll die if they get Bedard.
I’d be interested in seeing a graphic of how Seattle’s various odds have changed over time.
