Being at a home game is always a great time and for me it’s been a long time. Being an out of towner, I really look forward to connecting with the team and the Sabres community. There is just something about screening your head of, losing your mind, and collecting high fives from people you didn’t know 20 minutes ago as if they were your best friends. But last night was definitely something else. For over a decade there have been good games, even great games that got the fan base excited. The energy in that arena last night was special. I’m really excited for this team and I want to thank all of you for making this fandom such an awesome community to be in. Let’s go Buffalo!

I was so salty I missed the ceremony live but watched it later and was really happy to see it all. And what an exhilarating game too. Glad we had a packed house for one of my favorite Sabres players of all time. So happy his number is retired now
