I'm a Devils fan and I do hope we get him, he seems to be an all around good player from what I've seen and heard.
Sam Reinhart is getting 6.5 mil and I consider Boeser to be a very similar talent maybe not quite as good.
Trade boeser , miller, myers , dickenson, …if we gotta toss in podkolzin an hoglander to get the packages we want then thats what we gotta do ..pearson has nmc or id toss him to…we got our 4th line set now motte lammuko highmore so teams can keep there bottom 6 plugs for themselves
I dont want zacka at all he is soft garbage , mercer an severnson an 2nd rnd pick for boeser
Boesers value is all time low ATM. I wouldnt trade him IMO
Thank you for finally explaining to people that the qualifying offer isn't the minimum he can sign for.
My hope in the Devils has been totally shattered, so I'll take anything at this point
As a sabers fan I don't see a reason to sign him long term but a 1 or 2 year at 7m$ would work. Give him a limited no trade and say hey play good for us we will trade you at deadline to contender and eat half your salary. You get paid more and have a better chance at a cup. It's hall all over again but hopefully worth more then a 2nd rounder this time.
As a devils fan i like boeser but he is not worth 7.5million. Because of that contract im hesitant on how much i would want to spend to get him
Just show him Jake Guentzel and Bryan Rust contracts.. Rust is worth 7.5 after this season not Brock sorry
be patient Vancouver teams get more desperate the closer the deadline approaches especially if there rivals improve there rosters
I'll agree with Thomas Drance in that we shouldn't trade Boeser when his value is low. He's still averaging 25goals and over 50 points in a bad season. He's still young with upside, so Miller would be the better play, since he hasn't committed to wanting to stay in Van yet and his family still lives in the US 🤐
Trade boeser for dahline
Don’t be like the Leafs and give 4 guys all 7.5-8.5 million(Leafs 4 guys 40 million). I don’t want Boeser on Sabres, he’s soft, Buffalo needs a forward who can play rough and score.
Move Tyler Myers
They should just sign him to a one-year $6 million show me contract. If he scores between 30 and 40 goals after the end of next season then give him a
7 1/2 million for 6 or 7 years. I think this would be the best option for both sides.
I agree with assessment too much to want a lengthy contract. I'm not an expert at the devil's current contracts. I know they have room but I wouldn't want to see anything over 6.5 for no more than 1- 3 years..explain the bridge deal and lay out expectations. If it works it works. But more importantly, The Devil's fans need to feel like the organization cares that we're in the basement for yet another year…a great signing will help. There's something exciting about Brock because Zacha went well before Brock in 15. and I don't think anyone would argue who is the better talent outta the two.
How come all those goal scorers keep doing the worm?
I don't think the Devils should trade for Boeser. The Devils are not in a position where they need to buy or sell heavy. They are not making the playoffs so they should do nothing and add pieces in the offseason, even if that means letting Zacha walk. They also have to resign Bratt who is worth $7 million a year.
maaan if brock is traded i'll be sad but i want him to be successful. seems like such a good dude and good player. i hope vancouver holds on to him as they get better, but if he goes elsewhere… who knows. he still has upside/potential to get better. i have faith in the guy no matter where he plays. he's one of my favorite current players in the league.
Come on. "Pulling back Miller" is what a smart GM does before trading Miller. You dangle, you pull back, you maximize value and you trade. I know we haven't been able to watch competent management in Vancouver for many moons but can we at least not take what the various GMs are saying at face value?
Brock is worth a 5×5 contract and if he don't sign before the deadline, you trade him as his value is going to go down after that. I get the sense that he is going to be offered a one year deal next year which he will sign and then he will likely be offered a much less qualifying offer the following year which will be when the real pressure will be on. Most likely the Canucks will look very closely at offers for Boeser before the trade deadline is up, and they probably won't get anything near what he is actually worth due to the gigantic 7.5 offer he is owed. I don't really see any way the Canucks can really get the cap space they say they want without hurting the team short term, for the rest of this season and next. The biggest problem they have is they have to sign their best line for the future, the Lammikko line as they are all up for a new deal. Most likely they are going to have to trade Boeser for less than his value to stay competitive and sign the players they need going forward short term. They may even have to eat some salary and cap and trade on of the bigger over priced contracts like Myers or OEL. No matter what they do it is going to hurt the team going forward if they want their coveted "flexibility of cap room". Should be interesting for sure. We will see how bad they want to stay competitive vs get cap space in the next 3-4 weeks.
Boeser's QO doesn't hurt his trade value, a team can just try to sign him long-term at a lower number
As a devils fan, a trade would be welcomed at the right cost, a forward won’t solve all our problems but imo you can never have too much talent on a team
He won’t demand 7.5 on a contract with term. I’m sure he’d like to be around 7 and Van would probably like it to be closer to 6.
I think he’s worth an annual average of 5.75 over as many years as either side are willing, with absolutely no movement clauses .. that’s a fair price to see if he can become a more balanced, MillerHorvat like impact .. and if you pay him almost 7 a year now, what will Miller/Horvat ask for ..?
I was at the game with the open Virtanen gate, that’s the worst I’ve ever felt at a game. For a good price I’d want him around for 3-4 years ..? Then he can go for his big payday contract if he improves like he probably can..
Boeser ($5.8+ M AAV) for Tuch ($4.75M AAV) for more cost control, bigger, faster skilled player with Stanley Cup Final experience
Be real Brock is not a first or second line I rather have mote on the first or second than this guy trade him please
On behalf of Devils fans, I would note that Fitzgerald would likely trade Pavel Zacha to acquire Brock. Zacha is not worth a $6 million+ contract extension based on his offensive inconsistency and lack of defensive significance. Being able to have young top 6 forwards like Dawson Mercer and Alex Holtz gives a little cap flexibility to the heavy hitter like Hischier, Hughes, and Bratt (with a likely very high extension this offseason). I would prefer targeting Boeser for extension, simply because that qualifying offer is a waste. He won’t play up to the standards for that type of money and would be virtually untradable at that price unless salary is retained. If the Devils cannot get Boeser to agree to a reasonable extension price, then I’m not sure the trade is worth it, regardless of how much I may like the guy.
