It sucks that it may come to this, I’m sure Sammy’s a decent fellow and PK Slewban probably ruined his chance to be a healthy part of the team, but Blais just hasn’t worked out, he’s a reminder we blew the Buchnevich trade, and we could use that cap space for the trade deadline.

And would anyone really claim him at $1.525 mil?
Honestly the best we could hope for is him passing waivers and possibly returning to form after some time in Hartford.

Smart move – he will clear due to his salary and can be a playoff callup in case there are injuries. He does finish checks- I like the guy but he is a step behind.

End of the day Blais needs to play to recover and rebuild his strength. If he goes to a team like Arizona he can get ice time and play. It sucks that he tore his acl because he isn’t a bad player

that guys getting claimed 100% , look at the runs he was taking at guys in the 2019 blues run on YouTube , someone will claim him 100%. And listen I couldn’t blame the team for waiving him but he would get claimed, horrible post slewban or not. Personally, I would have to say that if we had lost all three of Hunt, reaves , and blais, I have no expectstions in the yoffs. Need some identity on the fourth line
