That guy is a 100% keeper. He brings that certain energy the Oil lacked before, it injects confidence to the team. Also gives Kane a little more time to get back on track … if he needs it :). One of Hollands best moves i think, for now. With Kostin and Desharnais in the lineup and Kane back, the Oil are no longer those wussies every team pushes around physically. Maybe Nurse will learn a thing or two from Kostin – mostly what it means to have a warrior mentality ;). Kostin is a real uncompromising warrior: calm and smiling, joking in any situation, stands up for his comrades against anyone – I think he is a natural warrior talent :). Lots to learn from him.
You have Kane, kostin, and nurse knyhe team they will go far in playoffs and his year no cheap hits on McDavid and lots of turnovers for other teams due to offensive pressure from kostin and Kane. All I can say is all positives in the future.
He’s not putting up the same points as Kane last year but I’d say his impact to this team is equal as when Kane came on board. He just gives the Oil that edge that they desperately needed.

Getting Kostin for Samorukov is turning out to be such a great trade for us. Hell, just what we've gotten already from Kostin is probably more than we ever would've gotten from Samorukov, as he may never play or do much at the NHL level. With Broberg also starting to pan out and Holloway getting better and better, you have to give some credit to Holland. I've been critical of him, but he's showing he still has an eye for procuring talent via trade and the draft.
