I would say 4 or 5 games. It was pretty cheap but it was also very hectic around the net and a lot of guys. Borwiecki isn’t a very cheap player but you always gotta do something when there is a bad injury on a dirty hit
How many times have we seen Marchand do this and not get called? NHL is so soft now. The 90's will always be the golden age of hockey when true battles went on in front of the net. I know injuries happened a lot more but come on you wanna make millions playing hockey? Pay the price.

This league is a f in joke with its officiating on the same play u can argue Bergeron would have scored but his skates got whacked by a sens stick and he fell because of it last time i checked that was the definition of tripping not called ???then 5 seconds later this cheap shot elbow not called???then a couple minutes later a phantom penalty on chara also later in the game accari gave a guy a nice hit and they called him for tripping???I really wanted to turn the game off but I'm a die hard fan so I didn't but come on nhl get your god dam refs in line that was a pit a full display of officiating

I get that you gotta clear the net and seal your tendy, but that woulda had the same effect on half of the league. Somewhere between an elbow and a forearm, not necessarily targetting but it just falls under things you can't do in the current league. Used to be a good tough play but now it's just too aggressive
Oh yeah, that was totally accidental lol. He just happened to look at the guy then stick his elbow right in to his face by accident. That's just an every day hockey play haha
1 game was not enough for that it wasn’t even close to playing hockey simply going after a guy with intent to injure. How every ref missed it is beyond me officiating was horrendous the entire game
If this is 1 game matheson should not have even been talked about getting suspended. I swear NHL suspensions are the most inconsistant thing in all of sports
