This Is BRUTAL News for Slafkovsky… What Are YOUR Thoughts On Slafkovsky's Season So Far? SHOULD He Have Been Sent to the World Juniors? And How Do YOU See His Career Panning Out? I'd LOVE to Hear YOUR Thoughts! #GravGang #RoadTo65kSUBS
I hope they send him to Laval where he can dominate or send him to the chl. If you compare his rookie season to Leon’s they are quite similar I still see a lot of upside and you can see the improvement he has made since the beginning of the season.
No Graviteh….zero's for you on this one.
Can people please have patience god the second he was getting second line minutes with Monahan he went down just a season of unfortunate events for him he’s been great of you’d care to watch the games but the team around him has been god awful. Slafkovsky is a Project and a result of the team.
Im not sure the whole year was a "110% bust", but i do agree that he should have gone to the WJC, when they interviewed Nemec later, he said, "I know if Slafkovsky would have been there, he would have scored for us in OT!!" I love that he instills that confidence in his teammates. I think he's learned a lot this year, and things are starting to look up for him, well at least they were before the injury. He has to learn to keep his head up, although that wouldnt have helped with this injury, just bad luck i think.
His strengths are his size and his shot….against 18 year olds they are clear advantages; against full grown men not so much. He is going to be a good player in the nhl, maybe not a superstar, but I don’t see many superstars coming from the 2022 draft.
Bust. First KK and now Slaf. DO NOT DRAFT EUROPEAN PLAYERS.
Im not worried
slaf is still the man.
i feel like Slafkovsky going 1st overall may be something that Montreal may regret in a few years
Since he was being compared to Rantanen when drafted, as big winger, it is worthwhile noting that Rantanen started out as:
15-16 9GP 0P
16-17: 75GP 38P
and then it just clicked in 17-18 for 81GP 84P
don’t worry about Slavkowsky, he will be fine. It is only his first year, it is meaningless.
Juraj will brake through this. He has his head in the right place. Just give him time and all it needs is one brake through game and it's done. Unless the Habs decide to keep giving him 4th line ice time that is.
I am from Slovakia and i was so disappointed when Montreal said hes not going to WJC. Terrible decision …i mean …there were All players from draft and All stars for draft 2023 so why would they do this…what a shame
Yea he sucks. Buddy’s gonna be another nail yakipov
Worst 1st overall pick in a long time Slovakian Pierre engvall
No you learn with the best and men not young kids stay in the NHL stop saying that scrap
„Absolutely!“ 😂
bro, this video is ABSOLUTLEY BRUTAL lol
Send him to the AHL once he comes back playing 20 mins with Power play time instead of 12-14 mins
Its call Learning…
1st overall Pierre Engvall.
I'm so not worried about Slaf. His career doesn't really start until the Habs are back into the playoffs. I do think he should have been at the world juniors. Not even a Habs fan
I'm a Leaf fan and find it hard to have sympathy for the Habs. In this case I feel their pain. Rushing guys to the NHL because the team is bad, and you need something positive, can ruin a player. The Leafs did it for years. When Detroit was a powerhouse, they did it the right way. They let young players cook in the minors for years, until they were ready. Every year you thought Detroit would be over the hill they'd bring in another rookie or two that would fit right in. The pressure was on the vets, and the kid could just play and learn.
From Slovakia. We desperately need this guy to succeed, he is not Canadian, there are so many of them that they are basically disposable for international competition.
Once again, prospects need time, let them finish out juniors.
This buster reminds me alot of Kotkaniemi. Montreal at its finest. High Draft Pick and drafts Busts. They had Cooley, Wright, Jiricek and Nemec to pick over Slafbustsky but hey its Montreal
The kid is 18 playing on one of the worst teams in the league first season in NA and it’s in the NHL ur jumpin the gun here maybe running out of ideas for videos. Leave him alone start making these videos when he’s 23
Relax the kid is 18 yrs old he will in time turn heads!
here we go again 🙁 is the number 1 choice going to be a deception? or will he rise from the injury? time will tell
Should’ve done the same thing as the kraken did with wright. And possibly send him down to the minors
He’s a bust
His start isn't as bad as the stats say it is. He is an NHL calibre 4th liner right now who is showing flashes of what he can/will become. He's played a bit better when playing with better players. Not every 1st overall is McDavid. We knew coming into this draft that there weren't a McDavid in the draft. Where are the other players from the 2022 draft class?
The decision to not send him to juniors was bad though IMO
Bro….Lafrienerie is Canadian, no adjustment to North American hockey, and he was on the rangers. WHAT DONT YOU UNDERSTAND?
Bad coaching for him and development of his game
Joe Thornton 1997/98 had 7 points in 55 games after going first
He is 18, and already in the nhl. I think he's doing just fine.
The people calling Slaf a bust probably called Hughes and Thornton busts.
All Im gonna say is, as a slovak, i watched these guys develop a bit longer than you and i didnt trust Slaf to turn out better than for example Nemec or Mesar. But time and time again, he proved me wrong. He is 18 year, the only one playing in the NHL from this draft on a terrible team, getting constant line changes and getting used to NHL pace. Let him develop and prove you wrong too, bunch of keyboard warriors
Too many people judge a young player's performance much too quickly nowadays. The fact is that Slafkovsky was 18 when the season began and is still only 18 now. Give the kid a break. Lafreniere was actually 20 in his 1st season with the Rangers. Even Lafrieniere is too young and still too early to judge him at this stage. Have the Habs handled Slaf poorly? Maybe – I don't know enough of the details behind their decisions.- but on thing I do know is that it's WAY too early to judge an 18 year old kid who is still getting his feet wet playing in the best hocky league on the planet. Patience please
It's not that bad of a decision to not send Slafkovsky to WJC. He would've absolutely dominated the tournament just to come back to the NHL with fewer minutes and better competition. He is a regular NHL player and proved it this year with his start even if it wasn't the flashiest, he can compete in the NHL.
Galchenyuk and kk all over again, Habs just can't develop players above the top 5 picks .
Slafkovsky is the next pulljarvi.
Slav is good and will be amazing!!!
Chill out he is 18
him, Laf, and Yak are just insane examples of #1 overall busts. Yes i do think he's gonna be a bust. I thought they shoulda taken Wright.
"This might be one of the worst rookie seasons by a first overall pick ever" A little bit overboard don't you think?
They should call Filip Mešár from the farm. He deserves a chance……
Lafrenier was drafted into a team with panarin, mika a blossoming Norris winning defenseman and A+ goaltending.
slav is on a rebuilding team, slav has Suzuki(as the oldest isn't exactly lighting the lamp), cof and a young still growing b+ defense core.
for example if you put Quinn Hughes on the aves and Cale Makar on the Canucks, it would look like the aves made the right choice. there would be multiple players to compliment Hughes weaknesses, makars weaknesses would be more exposed, but with no one to keep up.
it usually takes bigger players a bit of time to grow into there bodies. bertuzzi, Shanahan, chara, pronger Malkin. non of them were hot out the gate. Malkin I have to admit was good, but he was drafted before Crosby, but didn't win a heart before Crosby.
Are you really following the habs seriously or just using highlights to build your videos? Slaf was actually showing sign of progression in his overall game even though he went scoreless for a while… If you judge a 18 yo progression exclusively by his scoring sheet chances are you evaluation will lack perspective.
