Jonathan Toews is the perfect addition.
Horvat is a 2nd centre at the least not a smart move

I like toews and everything he brings but he is almost 35 years old and paying a massive haul that includes picks and prospects is crazy imo.

I like Horvat but only if he agrees to a contract with Jets as part of the trade. That way, if PLD won't sign after this season he gets traded to recoup most, if not all, of what Jets gave up to get Horvat.
Come on. The ask for Toews will not be that high. If I’m the Jets and giving up 1st round picks I’m going after Horvat. With Toews cap there will only be a few teams able to take on
$5 million in salary. If I was the jets I would consider trading both this years and next years 1st round picks. More than likely they will get picks back when the undoubtably trade PLD to the Habs.
Trade all the hope this year and win. Toews to make money for the team, teach Dubois and schief how to win and take a face off.A evil big bastard who can play d and maybe another for bottom six that can play like maroon.
