The Red Wings outplayed the Flyers, but due to a great performance by Carter Hart in net stopping 30 shots, and Philly skaters blocking another 31, Detroit was stopped from finding the back of the net. It became a game of “who will make the first mistake” and unfortunatley it was Detroit. Lucas Raymond did however score a late goal to maintain his hot streak, and was stoned in the waning seconds of the game to keep the Wings from tying it. Husso has another solid game in net for Detroit, 2 in a row as he tries to return to form. And Walman and Seider were great again, what should Detroit do with the pending UFA? #lgrw

When are you guys going to talk about what a complete bust Copp has been. I mean you can go 5 games without even realizing he played.
I’m not even disappointed anymore by how they played. They did play hard. The game looked pretty good with the exception of the score and the battle being for eighth worst in the league. I’m disappointed by comments that sound like, “well shucks, fans, I dunno how we could have played differently to get the win…” coming from the captain and the coach. That disappoints me.
I really hope that Steve Yzerman and Dylan Larkin come to an agreement soon. The two obvious comparable center contracts to project Dylan Larkin's next contract should be in the range between Tomas Hertl $8,137,000.00 x 8 years contract and Mat Barzal $9,150,000.00 x 8 years contract. All three players are having similar seasons in regards to their stats. To me, Dylan Larkin's next contract should look like this: $8,871,000.00 x 8 years.
Summary: The Wings played pretty well but just aren’t very good (completely lack top end talent)
Meanwhile, congrats to the Flyers was that a record for blocked shots?
The Wings played slow. They had a difficult time connecting passes, couldn't get a quality shot on net, fore check was lazy with 1 or maybe 2 guys making effort. The other 3 were waiting on the blue line even with 5 minutes left in the game and down by 2. Yet coach says there's nothing they could do. How about learn how to clear the puck? Clearing it on the boards is stoppable by all the other teams yet we still try and other teams clear it past us 9 of 10 times. How do we have 3 or 4 of our guys chasing the puck in our D zone, not hitting and falling back like on a penalty when were even strength? We have no offense, we have no big scorers, we're slower than the other teams, out shootout skills suck, yet coach says there's nothing we can do better?! Good to know. Last thing, how do we generate offense when 90% of the time we dump the puck into their zone and do a line change? There's definite problems with this.
Regardless what the Red Wings do good or bad from now on I’m repeatedly posting YZERPLAN YZERPLAN YZERPLAN in an attempt to sound intelligent.
Great show is always guys, but I want to do a hypothetical situation or two LOL. Detroit has all seven of its picks in this coming up draft plus an additional second-round from st. Louis which we know is going to be a higher pick in the draft cuz they Louis isn't doing the best either lol. So my hypotheticals here are this: #1 trade for Shane wright, Seattle isn't really using improperly in my opinion and keep sending him down scratching them excetera so why not take Gamble and see if we can get him. I see potentially for him maybe trade your first and 2nd round pick for 2024, and maybe say Zadina and possibly another filler player? Then maybe wait to see who gets the first round pick in this draft and then make a trade for that so you get bedard. Maybe sign bertuzzi to a one-year extension and then trade him your first round pick and your two second-round picks in this draft and then maybe a draft prospect such as Lombardi or Sebrango to name a few or also Chariot might be a good one too. Let me know your thoughts if you want other than that stay frosty 🥶
About Walman, remember Yzerman hunt him down and was aways hyped about him. I see 3 to 4 easily for him.
Larkin is worth 7.5 at most, maybe 8
These are comparables
Hischier 7.25
Petterson 7.35
O'Reilly 7.5
Kuznetsov 7.8
Suzuki 7.8
Hughes 8
The following players are way better than Larkin
Aho 8.4
Zibanejad 8.5
Draisaitl 8.5
Stamkos 8.5
Backstrom 9.2
Point 9.5
No way Larkin is worth 10m
Thoughts?
Sign Jake Walman. Good take on Jensen.
Carter Hart is ridiculous sometimes. I bleed orange and black and I know we haven't had the best decade and it's been hard to root for them but this dude is insane. If the team can buy in and go with Torts they could be respectable
Vrana goals in back to back games this weekend, starting to look like he's finding it, maybe he's gonna be the goal scorer if he cam prove himself to Steve over a period of time
Larkin is very deserving. How can the league pass over the 59th leading scorer in the NHL?
C'mon!
