I have always thought that the surrounding players for the 2007/08 season were the best the Pens have had in a while. Imagine if Hossa and Staal stayed… Up until playing Detroit that year, they were sooo dominant! They never were able to find a decent third-line center to replace Staal. Bonino was good though.
