What're The Risks to Extending Jesper Bratt?; Is It Truly Time For The Devils to Start Panicking?

Jesper Bratt will be eligible to sign his extension on January 1st. However, I want to dissect all the possibilities of what might happen if Bratt receives his anticipated payday. These next couple of games for the New Jersey Devils are important, however are they truly must-win circumstances?

  1. I wouldn’t give Bratt big money. He disappears for weeks, still makes bad decisions with the puck, and misses the net constantly.

  2. All these people calling for a TEN MILLION dollar contract, for Jesper Bratt, are way off base. In reality, Bratt is a 7-7.5 per year guy. Now, @ TEN, you should have a player, who is a continual threat, every time he hits the ice. Bratt, is not that guy. I can see the theatrics surrounding the signing of Bratt, coming already. In my own opinion, we move Bratt, and grab a few hot prospects, and a quality NHLer, who can hit the ice right now. I don’t feel that, considering past negotiations, they will see eye-to-eye on price, and term.

  3. Trey, it’s been awesome seeing your pics at the rock and hearing your voice in the locker room or during post game. Keeping kicking ass, man!
