Nathan MacKinnon Sets Up Artturi Lehkonen Goal With Great Second Effort For 700th Career Point
Watch as Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon picks up his 700th career point, making a great second effort on a partial break to set up a laser goal from Arrturi Lehkonen against the Washington Capitals.
The fact that you can see he is out of breath from the hit is impressive, the fact that he was able to poke the puck with the force he did is true determination and to come out with a goal, well deserved for both!!!
This wasnt a great second effort… he didnt even have to stretch to reach the puck to make the pass. It was a great effort. (notice how in English 'second effort' refers to a subsequent effort after a first effort that is GREAT). Now SN, you have no excuse for mislabelling this video.
Even when getting the wind knocked out of him by that hit MacKinnon’s first thought is still to get the puck to the net!! Really impressive, and number 700 too!!!

Lehky is so underrated! What a great move for the Avalanche. Justin Barron is doing with the Habs well but damn Lehk is flying out there😊
i love how a full force hit doesnt move Mack at all

Lehky is THAT guy you want on your team. Good to see him succeed, missing him in MTL
Props to Nate Dogg. That's an Orlov specialty. If I remember correctly he flipped a guy in this very building a few years ago.
First NHL goal – against the Capitals
700 points in NHL – vs. Capitals
Orlov's one of the league's last remaining hit artists.
