Avs starting to look like the dominant squad of last season. 6 wins in a row and now making a great trade. Look out 👀
Great trade for both teams. Colorado gets much needed help on the PK
Nice to have Nieto back on the Avs
Maybe just me but Merkley look like a big bust for me but lets see time goes. SO if Kaut turn great i think the shark can win this trade
Kaut is what he is, probably always going to be a bottom 6 guy. I think Merkly has much more potential, get him in a strong locker room and fresh start will be good for him
I like this trade from a SJ Perspective.
Nieto isn't in our long term plan and we may as well ofload him. His Production is very bloated has he's been getting 2nd Line Minutes. Very good PK'er though, and will be missed in that regard.
Merkley has 0 Decision making, he has 0 Efford. Attitude to people isn't the issue. He skates the blueline well, but good grief he needs some help with the effort. ZERO defense.
SJ is trying to kinda tank, add to the AHL team and create a Timo-esque environment where they push far in the Calder cup playoffs and help Eklund, Bords, Gush, Robins, and so on get really good before coming to the NHL.
Colorado wins in my opinion
Is he any good?
Objectively sticking someone with bad attitude and an overinflated opinion of self into a d-core with Makar, Toews and Byram might be the perfect thing to bring them back down to earth.
