Not gonna listen to any of this post game crap…or fanboy, rosey-red glasses garbage. We had an opportunity to win 7 straight and more importantly, showup in front our fans and win a GIMME GAME. Theoretically easier than post-All-Star, stretch ones. I don't wanna hear any spin or excuses. Many of us, who really know this team, wondered when they were gonna serve up a stinkerāļøOne powerplay, that's the kind of offensive effort they showedāļøAgainst the lowest placed team of 32, in the NHL. There was little sustained O-zone pressure at all. Connor & Leon were barely any kind of threats. How many times did I see us lose puck battles, dump the puck, due to lazy frustration, turn it over, endlessly. Not much real physicality…it was boring as hellš
To those who laughed at my pregame comment regarding the Oilers not being prepared for the 2nd worst team in the league, I take no pleasure in saying I was right. Horrible effort right across board from every Oiler player that touched the ice tonight. And yes that was indeed a point lost… rather than a point gained. I don't agree with 99.9% of the questions coming from these reporters, but that question was right on the money. And of course Jay giving his usual predictable reply "I thought we were competitive" lol No you weren't competitive..not even close. The entire team couldn't finish if their season depended on it. Every player was dreaming about the vacation time coming up. Exactly what I thought would happen. The Oil fell into that arrogant over confident "scheduled win" trap… thinking the pucks were just going to fall into Columbus's net. Holy crap was that an embarrassing game for the Oilers. I think it's good thing they got a good ass kicking by the 2nd worst team in the league..wakes every one up for the next bottom feeder team.
This game accentuates and epitomizes all the terrible habits that plagued this team before the streak. Shall I list them Jay?..sure you got it. Not scoring first, not holding a lead, turn overs, defensively atrocious, indifferent, lazy, soft goals, not finishing, my fingers are cramping from typing just those noted mistakes…and the list goes on, but I'll stop there. You can't lose to a team like this without making every possible mistake you can think of in the game of hockey.
Start Campbell next game heās been playing amazing and won 5 straight for you guys! Skinner was good donāt get me wrong but Campbell deserves the start in Chicago
Shouldnāt be giving up 2 important points to a basement team when you are on a 6 game winning streak. Gotta find a way to get the W there, especially when fighting for position in standings.
Jay can talk his positive jargon all he wants they played like s**t.
Players trying to be to cute and fancy. Once Columbus started boxing them out to the outsides only and not taking any penalities oilers didn't know how to readjust. Learn how to play simple. You look at all of Columbus's goals and they were gritty chippy goals.
Woody and Co. were outcoached, Jesses line was outstanding ,a really fast heavy load opponents cannot handle ,Holloway fits perfectly with Jesse. That Oilers line can force opponents to bring down better d-men and adjust their line management.
I just donāt understand how we are losing to bottom teams. The point is great and all, especially if we start a new winning streak. But itās alarming that the Oil struggles against bottom teams.
That was a fine example of a team loss. They ALL didnāt come to play last night and it showed. In reality, the oil were lucky to come out of that game with a point
Another Coachās loss. Thought you liked the Hopkins, Janmark, Kostin Line Yet you mix them up. Find your lines and quit screwing them up. Also work on the teams 1 vs 1 battles already, been losing those all season. Playing hockey not Chess coach.

I swear these retro jerseys are cursed
Burn those jerseys
I hope we can start another win streak with Chicago next.

Disgusting.

Embarrassing. Also Skinner with the all star goaltending on the last 2 goals.

Ah well take the point and move on I guessā¦
They should beat Chicagoā¦
Go Oilers Go!

Position wise on first goal where was Nurse. Hey wake up and play your position

The jackets goalie made some awesome pad saves in close, have to say he was the difference in this game.
Classic oilers loss
I saw this coming a mile away. The Oilers have taken the night off against bottom feeding teams for years.
Not good enough period, no ācompetitiveā bullspit spin on it. Loser mentality Jay!
Next game.
LET'S GO OILERS !!!
Jay doesn't wanna throw anyone under the bus in front of the media for a lackluster performance. Hopefully the talk behind the doors was different. These scripted clichĆ©d answers for the media is a joke. That's why Tortorella will be one of the best and most direct coaches in terms of media interaction – he would have no hesitation slamming the team for their crap performance in front of the media.
The Oilers had zero fire. Too bad….
The Oilers continue to keep the three person top line out in OT, way too long. Not a very good OT team anymore.
Gross effort
Oilers get butt hurt with a bad loss and will probably need to build the power flow back into play! but that may not happen for Many Daze!
That was a fine example of a team loss. They ALL didnāt come to play last night and it showed. In reality, the oil were lucky to come out of that game with a point
š¤š.
Didn't want it bad enough, simple as that.
Again, the hometown no look passing tricky crap that always sinks 'em.
Disappointed with lethargic high priced defender.
On the positive, Jesse P is growing great balls of fire.
Good luck catching the Seattle Kraken.
They looked like they were literally trying to lose that overtime. Was very unusual behavior.

Having Leon play OT is dangerousā¦ā¦.never backchecks, skates slowly everywhereā¦ā¦.he is no centre but needs to be moved to the wing!
Only tonite you made mistakes on defence how about lots of nites.
āThese retro jerseys are cursed!!!ā Shut up
