Late first round pick < Keep Power Horse
By the time habs become a real contender team (2-3 years minimum), Anderson will be over 30 and with his play style, he'll probably regress.
I would rather trade him now for a good return (1st rounder + good prospect) than have him joining Gallagher on the overpaid 3-4th liners club.
Perfect fit would be Calgary. Something like
Anderson, 3rd or 4th eound pick for their 2023 1st rounder, pelletier and a salary dump (Lucic?).
Anderson stinks and his salary is 4 more years for $5.5 million a year for 30 points. Good luck for the sucker who takes that contract!
