  1. If the Canucks dismissed Boudreau with class, and let his contract expire (during the Bedard draft year none the less), then Trotz would have been their next head coach.

Trotz has the same player agent as Boudreau, so there's no chance in hell he ever goes to Vancouver now.

  2. nothing changes with the canucks until ownership changes. the rot starts at the top.

  3. This town chases out every goalie, captain, and coach who has class or sportsmanship. It’s not just the upper management. The media is horrible. Why would anyone want to play here anymore? They’ll just get scapegoated as soon as something goes wrong and they’ll be humiliated. This franchise will never win a cup.

  4. What the Canucks need is more feminists in management. 😂😂😂 There isn't enough back biting yet. You have to be nuts to work for that dumpster fire.

  5. Why would Rick Tocchet get involved in an illegal gambling ring with a corrupt cop and the mafia? The Canucks job is not that bad of a decision considering his past ones.

  6. I think hockey coaches are among the most overrated in all of sports. Even though there is clear evidence that a coach can and does make a defining difference on some teams, this is really rare. Trotz you would think is the greatest ever based on all the attention he recieves but he only won one cup. Same with Torts. Boudreau never came close to winning in the playoffs. Always had great teams that checked out early. Tocchet has not had any meaningful success anywhere. Yet the same coaches are hired (and fired) over and over again. In the end, how many coaches win a Cup without a super-star lineup? And how many lose even with an all star quality team and goalie?Tocchet isn't going to win in Vancouver. And neither would Trotz. All that said, clearly Montgomery has the "it" factor in Boston (along with the line up tweets) and clearly the team had soured on Cassidy. But until the Bruins hoist a cup their record year means nothing (see Lightning, Tampa Bay).

  7. wouldve been nice if trotz came to van, but no one would wanna be in that shithole of a franchise

  8. Canucks have to do everything to finish last to maximise their chances to win Bedard.
It's a lifetime opportunity to get a Vancouver native who is potentially a generational player !

  9. As an islanders fan I speak for most of us when I say I was against lamorello firing him, part of me thinks trotz wanted the year off because his mom passed and he wanted family time so maybe that’s why Lou let him go but regardless he was the islanders best coach since Al arbour and I wish Lou could of gave trotz a better roster to work with.
