Team needs someone to hold Nate and mikko accountable
Shut him down if he’s not ready and you can re-eval it at the playoffs. Make a trade for a big name center or wing now and go forward with the understanding Landeskog isn’t coming back this year. If he can’t you have insurance for the playoffs. If he’s good to go for the playoffs, great you get to fiddle with the cap and you didn’t rush him back. This shouldn’t even be a question at this point.
Starting to be very frustrating to see Byram and Manson still sidelined after what were seemingly minor injuries at the time
I hate people who keep saying “injuries aren’t an excuse” every player counts, every player is a gear in the machine.
I know they talked a lot about how the Avalanche in Byrams concussion incident how they unlike most clubs are leaving a LOT of the decisions to play or not or come back or not. Do you think that somehow is stretching things out? Not that I'm saying it's a bad thing if he truly is not ready and not a doctor saying he's good and him feeling the opposite even if he was right or wrong. I just am wondering because I'm seeing a lot of it in KSE teams. Like the Nuggets. But I think they handled it right after the pain of a year off and not repeating would suck being so good still. But I just thought I'd ask your thoughts on that Byram news around his concussion and how they handled injuries and time frames. Any thoughts?
I hope they don't do anything major. Maybe one more minor move for a depth defenseman (not jack Johnson) but honestly not bothered about it. I'm perfectly content to ride with this team in to the playoffs assuming they will be able to get largely healthy.
If they can't though, I still don't think the solution is to jeopardize the team 2 to 6 years down the line when we'll NEED these guys contributing on ELC's for slightly better odds this season. We're odds on betting favorites (or were at least) for a reason. I'm perfectly content with this team and our odds of winning.
