On today’s episode of Locked on Wild, we make the case to unleash the Dewey’s! We start with a comparison of Brandon Duhaime and Jordan Greenway. While Duhaime is not nearly as big as Greenway, he has shown the ability to be almost twice as physical when on the ice. If the Wild do end up moving on from Greenway before the deadline, they could put Duhaime in that roll without losing the physicality that Greenway brings to that mix. We move onto Connor Dewar, who possesses underrated puck instincts and playmaking ability. And most importantly, a ton of speed. We look at how he has harnessed all of those talents to become a lethal weapon on the penalty kill, and why if Sammy Walker isn’t recalled, his speed could be a needed component on Matt Boldy’s line. We finish by looking at a few line tweaks that may be in the works for Saturday’s game against Buffalo!

Tonight your going to see speed and skill
Buffalo is going to put on a clinic
Granato I think is one of the very best
Coaches in the NHL
Everson refuses to put speed on Boldys line, he did the same thing to Fiala last
year until he had to by adding Boldy to his line. I'm disappointed with Everson
His use of the kids is mind numbing
Regardin greenway his halfharded
Play is coming to and end
He has played his way off the team
Guerin will trade almost anybody to improve the team, as long as it’s a step forward and doesn’t jeopardize the long term plans.
In regards to Greenway, he maybe trying to play through an injury as his reluctancy to go full bore is evident. He seems a bit slower and without physical play, he bring no more then s body to the lineup. I still wouldn’t completely bail on Hartman, everyone has bad stretches and he proved it last year he is very capable. If the right deal comes – of course but still has value and a team friendly veteran contract. Out of the three, Shaw is the one I might package in a deal to give him a better chance to play and develop his career. We are pretty full of solid forwards on the bottom six scenario. Shaw is a little older (24) and has had those knee injuries which is always there…
Still love 89, gritty player and 17 would be an interesting line combo with 12.
Speed is something we’ve been looking for on the Boldy line to get him going offensively but it isn’t the only way. Foligno is great at digging pucks off the boards and out of the corners to get them to the front of the net (like he did on the assist for Boldy’s first goal). It’s a different look that could create space and chances for Boldy. Definitely worth a shot, especially since Foligno’s offense has been lacking too and if they have good offensive chemistry it could really help that line.
I think Dewar definitely should be on boldy line.
Why do you use OUR Dallas Stars colors? 😂 stick to your ugly Wild crap…. It has no conection to the North Stars
