  1. And a bunch of people in the crowd thought it would be cool to ruin it for everyone else

That was an incredible ceremony to watch, teared up a bit especially when they presented him with that puck display the trainer worked on by collecting milestone pucks. A wonderful honoring of a legend

I remember, such a special day. Getting to watch the goat get his number hung in the rafters on a screen for $15 in the Hulu theater.

I was there because someone on HFBoards was generously selling a 100s ticket for face value. It was a memorable night but there were so many drunks in the crowd.

I feel like you can make the argument that, with the context of the game itself, it was one of the worst performances in Rangers history. Still a special event though.

I was there. It was great, but the fans would not shut up during his speech. They kept on chanting “Thank you King” and “HEN-RIK” as he was trying to speak. It was insufferable.

A consolation that added some emotion was that they panned to Zucc a few times which [unsurprisingly] received a loud ovation.

The effort in the game itself was lackluster to the say the least, but it was still an experience that I’ll cherish. I just wish our fanbase didn’t ruin his moment.

On top of what everyone else has mentioned, my most vivid memory about it is driving 40 miles home from the train station in complete white-out blizzard conditions after having my pant leg soaked with NYC street water from a bus blasting through a giant slush puddle two blocks from The Garden.
