So it turns out that the Florida to Montreal pick isn’t lottery protected. Florida is 3 points out of a wildcard berth currently held by Pittsburgh and they’ve played 3 more games than Pittsburgh.
Montreal could theoretically win the first overall and second overall picks this year.
