Inside today’s Locked on Canadiens:
The Canadiens and Senators meet on Saturday night in what was Owen Beck’s NHL regular season debut. The result was less than desirable for the Habs it wasn’t a game that was accurately reflected by the scoreline and the hosts will break it all down!
Then, it’s time for Three Up, Three Down!
On the down list the hosts are having a difficult time honing in on any one thing that’s overly bad in Montreal, but they do have their concerns about team captain Nick Suzuki possibly playing through an injury. And speaking of playing through an injury, Scott and Laura discuss the news out of Vancouver about Ilya Mikheyev playing on a torn ACL, and how it relates to Cole Caufield also playing through an injury before being shut down for the season.
On the upside of things it was a huge week for a number of young players around the Habs organization, starting first with Kirby Dach who has come into his own despite the Canadiens suffering from a ton of injuries. Also stepping up in a big way is Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, whose arrival has turned the Montreal fourth line into a legitimate threat on every single shift. Then, to the surprise of no one, Lane Hutson and Sean Farrell were all over the scoresheet for their respective teams, and softened the blow from a few tough losses in the NHL.

I dont understand why you guys are analyzing games as if the CH is a competitive team. The CH will stink for the reminder of the season and its ok.
Look at the lineup and there is no reason this team should be competitive in any game. Also stop wishing for wins vs crap teams. If Mtl needs to win some game for their confidence and work ethic etc they must do it against top team. Winning against crap team is a double loss for the CH futur.
Love Owen Beck…. Finally the BEST HABS PROSPECT is in the lineup. I am totally happy with him toiling in the OHL. It is where he should be….. Without question Beck was the BEST prospect in Pre Season. If the Habs were a MERITOCRACY…. they would have kept BECK and sent SLAFKOVSKY down. In reality Beck and Slaf should be toiling in the OHL…..
Go habs go….
On the positive side…. when Baron first went down to the AHL… he was very poor defensively. As games with the Rockets went on he definitely improved OFFENSIVELY……
But i must say he has sorted some things out in his game DEFENSIVELY….
I hope Slaf shows similar improvements.
PS—- I KNOW HE IS YOUNG!!!!
