McDavid suggested that Woodcroft put the EBUG into last night's game. That's an All-Star move right there.
I think the All Star event should be at the end the Stanley Cup, this way everyone can play how they want (all out or take it easy) and not be forced to play when the rest of the team is on a break to recover some. Or you do the All Star event from the previous year before the first scheduled events with team on team after their team training time.
He has nothing to prove in these events
i just want to see real hockey being played…west vs east in the old days…put a mil on the line and lets see some hockey with the best players on the ice in the world…
i mean skill competition is great…but who really cares? give the younglings/rising stars the chance to shine in the skill competition….perhaps WHL all stars vs NHL rising star game

Lol you are right my dude straight speed there are players just as fast or maybe faster than McDavid…. but speed while controlling a puck? Nobody beats McDavid. Players like mackinnon come close but he's the best hands down.
I'm personally getting bored seeing him do that event lol we know he's fast so I'm excited to see him do something like accuracy or saucer pass or stick handling event he's more than likely tops in all of those too
Also something I’ve seen from Connor in recent times is that in his game his full speed isn’t always his go-to. When he was still fresh in the NHL you would see him go absolutely full speed down the ice at any chance he could, but recently (also especially after that torn PCL injury that he somehow recovered from) he has toned down his speed a bit.
Now I’m not so much talking about his top speed, but the fact that he seems to use his speed a lot more strategically now, and he has expanded his arsenal of moves he uses so nobody can predict what he’s doing.
Is he gonna zip right past me? Is he gonna do a spin? Is he gonna just snipe the puck? Then he just passes for an easy assist.
At lead from what I noticed, his first couple years he would most likely just try to outskate them instead of anything else. So I think this decision also coincides with his newer style of play.

You really love the sound of your own laugh. The players are down to earth. In five years most of them will be retired and can lay on a beach as often as they want. Yeah, a mid season 10 day break is great, but all who show up still get 4-6 days off.

Although I like the fastest skater competition, I think I'd like to see an actual race between players. Sort of like they did in the 2017? all star weekend. Except players go from goal line to red line, back to blue line, then race to next blue line or something. Like every hockey player did in practices growing up.
