Roman Bravo Young and Carter S are the best wrestlers I’ve learned from because they’re so strong and agile. Mobile and quick and intelligent with there movements and attacks
Basically a tap and go! Everything needs to be set up and if it’s not there and you have to score you better flurry with multiple fakes and set ups till those legs or legs open up. Even more to your point this is why re shots are so successful on this level. Unless your Cael just colar tie picking everyone with ease then you need to have the angle the hand fighting to get in and the set ups to create that very small window of space to get your finishing percentage higher! Throw the elbow by, or boot scoot and suck under into it. This is D1 best of the best no one is just going to give you a leg and easy finish.
I wish wrestling was a thing in Australian schools when I was younger, I'd have done it in an instant. But kids are coddled and taught in school that any sort of physical conflict is inherently a bad thing and must never happen.
I grew up as an emotionally neglected and fearful child (due to losing my mother at 5 and my father suffering from ptsd from his work and being prone to extreme outbursts of aggression) This carried into my late adolescence and early adulthood and resulted in myself having no capacity to engage in any sort of conflict (real or perceived) and being easily manipulated and unable to say no to others. As well as a learned distrust and expectation of abandonment from women (due to my mother leaving)
After deciding to commit to training Jiu Jitsu and learning that not only is conflict inevitable and must be accepted as part of life, that even someone as damaged as I am can become a formidable force to contend with.
I see absolutely no good reason whatsoever for parents not to enrol their child in martial arts. None.
I always feel like I’m not gonna be able to get deep enough when I shoot. PTSD from one of our better wrestlers cross facing the actual FUCK out of my nose when I was a freshman

So basically, if you're trying to go down, don't actually go up. Make space, fake up, then go down.

When you wanna hold guys and touch meat but dont wanna come out of closet*
Yeah, I never locked up when guys reach for me they were taken down
The waffle house has found its new host

That right hand tie leaving the left hand down is lethal if you like to shoot head inside singles to the left. My bread and butter

So never shoot from a "tie-up"…. define tie-up I guess. Underhook…. 2 in 1 …
Bruh I never even thought of this
