Islanders Acquire Horvat for Beauvillier, Raty and First-Round Pick
The New York Islanders have acquired All-Star Bo Horvat from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for Anthony Beauvillier, Aatu Raty and a conditional 2023 first-round pick
I wish him success on the island. A new start should feel good even if it’s not exactly a top tier team. I would have thought the Canucks would prioritize a high first round pick in the deal. This trade doesn’t really accomplish that.
You guys put the random goal against Bob in here lol over Beau’s game 6 OT winner vs Tampa? I know it sucks to lose Horvat, but Beauvillier is a beast in the playoffs, and a relentless forechecker. And Raty has great potential
Hopefully for the Isles sake they have an extension in place, cause I dont see why you make this trade in a season where you may not even make the playoffs

Wow this is a very positive situation apparently. I was honestly shook when I saw the title of the video but also did not realize bo horvat is the canucks captain. Gonna miss beauvillier.
Theoretically it seems like a fit. Horvat isn't a big leader type but he can score goals, Islanders don't need leadership but they do need goals. Their goals against is pretty solid, I think it's 8th in the league.

Both Raty and Beauvillier can play Center, so it's pretty good I guess.
Canucks couldn't sign Bo especially that Miller extension so might as well get something than nothing in the offseason.
