Dude could be better than any of us expected, and we expected a lot
Already seeing these comments on Twitter about wanting him over Flower or wanting him with the Wild….
Wallstedt should not see St. Paul until towards the end of next season for a start or two at absolute minimum.
If they want this kid to be a top-7 goalie in the NHL, he absolutely cannot be rushed. He should get more ice time in the AHL next season then hopefully 2024-2025 he’s in Minnesota as a back-up and perhaps starting 30-40 games in 2025-2026.
He’ll be 23 in that timeline and have *plenty* of career in Minnesota.

Before anyone says “call him up”… no. Absolutely no. Not yet. Don’t rush this. He’s clearly found a groove this season but looking at his splits he’s certainly grown a ton since the start of the year. Let him keep growing.
Saw him play in Des Moines the other night and he was locked in. We need it haha
