I’ve never seen anyone else drop this comparison, but the Avs are the hockey equivalent of the NBA Warriors. When they’re healthy the offense just runs so beautifully and it seems light years ahead of everyone else.

I became a full on Rodrigues die-hard since the first Rangers game this season. That was like his and Georgie’s coming out party, and I was sold. And now I’m stoked that Bednar seems to have found a pretty good default slot for ol’ Roddy in the lineup. If Nate’s happy, then I’m happy!
Also, this seems like as good a place as any to bang my drum that the nickname E-Rod sucks, because it’s just a rip off of A-Rod, who sucks. (Was a big Red Sox fan back in the day, so I instinctively recoil from that name!)

My analysis is that they are two of the best passers in the league. They make INSANE passes that blow my mind.

This also lets our second line be a nightmare for other teams when Landy and Nuke are back, and keeps a solid third line. I’d LOVE to see Newhook between Landy and Rants/Nuke, but I’m guessing they keep Compher with Rants and one of those guys, and let the Newhook/Cogs/LOC line ride. Either way, it will be nice to have options again.
