Has Marchand gone too far?

Dangle has turned into a typical Toronto media member while still trying to maintain the appearance of being a diehard fan so he asked for something like this as far as I’m concerned.

  2. I’ll admit Brad’s response is objectively funny, but Dangle did have a point.

[Brad went after](https://i.imgur.com/Iulk6v0.png) a reporter for asking him about a tweet from him earlier this week & quoting his response adding only “Weird.” editorially.

I don’t think it’s a big deal and I doubt Steve is offended by Marchand’s response, but I also don’t blame Dangle for calling him out for the unnecessarily rude reply to the reporter for just doing his job.

    EDIT: LOL [Steve’s response](https://i.imgur.com/Gl4RdYu.png)

No. You corner a rat you’re gonna get bit.

I find it kind of funny that after all the rent free type comments Steve got under Marchands skin enough for him to search for and download that picture. To make that tweet actual NHL player Brad Marchand had to download a picture of Steve Dangle pretending to be a tiger, everyone in this situation takes an L there are no winners

Steve’s recent response killed me LMAO

  6. CrazyRayWise

What is this the Brad Marchand subreddit?

  7. torontomaplebros

This is funny but I agreed with Steve’s initial point

  8. I don’t particularly care one way or the other but it’s funny to me that Marchand took the time to pull up that image and post that.

I don’t really see how Marchand getting spicy with people of twitter is fine but Dangle’s comment is him being whiny. It’s a bunch of silliness all around.

Man, the internet is so annoying.

All people do is complain that NHL players have no personality and are too reserved. Then when one steps out to make jokes it has to become a huge deal. Reporters/ bloggers have to ask them questions about what/why they are tweeting. Then fans complain and it just gets beat into the ground.

Too far for what? This is hilarious. Relax.

TIL that people think Twitter is SRS BZNS

I think this is a rare situation where everyone’s in the right. Button was doing his job by reporting the news. Stoller is right that it was weird how Marchand reacted to it. Dangle is right that Marchand’s tweets seem uncalled for. And Marchand is right to go after whoever whenever, because he’s a heel. It’s his job. There should be a clause in his contract that every two months he has to stir up some internet drama, because fandom is more fun when you have a villain to hate.

  12. The biggest question is whether Marchand has the picture saved or had to go looking for the right one to use.

  13. FatStupidOldMan

I doubt Steve Dangle would be bothered much by this. This is gold in all directions.

(Complete transparency. I’m a Dangle fan.)

Steve won’t be offended one bit. Something to talk about on his podcast.

  15. shanster925

I’m just glad it happened on a sdp recording day.

  16. Many_Werewolf_7271

This is objectively funny. Who cares who is wrong or right this is awful drama.

  17. That’s really funny lol. We need more of this

  18. Starting to seem like it. If Marchand doesn’t watch himself, he could veer into Binnington territory and we already have one of those assholes.

  19. james-HIMself

Steve is gift wrapping with these kind of posts. What does anyone expect?

  20. Insane_membrane00

This is how I imagine Marchand spending his retirement.

  21. The NHL needs this type of thing. It’s not that big a deal, Steve can handle it and it gets clicks

  22. DummyThlck

Steves going to milk the shit out of this. “Guess who roasted me! Sponsored by you can bet that”

  23. SoupOrSandwich

What in the offseason is this? An offended response to a response to a response? Garbage content

  24. Feisty_Definition_66

IF YOUR A GOALTENDER TEND THE GOAL!!!!!!!!!!

  25. sokocanuck

If you let that picture exist, it’s fair game for chirps lol

  26. SDAisaleaf

How is it too far? Dangle makes a far bigger fool of himself on a regular basis

  27. it’s pretty telling that most of you think “personality” is someone being rude to someone else doing their job (marchand to the reporter). being a douchebag is certainly a personality, but not necessarily one i think should be the one we want nhl players strive for.

  28. PersonalityLiving300

Little man syndrome, only with a big ugly nose.

  29. edgeisagoodwrestler

I’m a diehard leafs fan I really can’t stand Marchand most of the time but Steve dangle is just not my cup of tea and I find him incredibly annoying. I laughed loudly at this tweet by Marchand

  30. reluctantLeaf

Marchand is hilarious for this, why does that photo even exist of Steve hahahahaha

  31. salmonthesuperior

Either Marchand had this picture saved or he has known about it and remembered it and looked for it for this reply and I can’t decide what’s the funnier scenario

  32. AkiBergSuperfan

I find this hilarious. Every single Leafs fan in my circle can’t stand Steve Dangle and have been loving Marchand’s clap back.

  33. Jonsa123

when on ice attitude is applied to social media. To fuck with Marchand, you gotta pay the price.
I hate him as long as he’s not a leaf, Patrice is a class act and I hate the bruins.
