Can someone explain the logic to me in Vancouver not wanting teams to negotiate an extension with Bo? Also, why didn't Vancouver demand a conditional pick if Bo resigns in Long Island?
If the Canucks didn’t shop around to see if there was a better deal, that would be shocking, but it would also be so Canucks.

As a Devils fan. Zero interest in Anderson. None. Not even free. Do. Not. Want.
If I have to sit through another Montreal "leaked" rumour that the Devils are salivating to get there hands on Josh Anderson, I think I will puke. We have been here way too many times…Habs value Anderson way too highly for a guy who has only played one full season in 8 years, and cracked 20 goals once in his career. He is by nature, a beneficiary not a play maker compiling shockingly few assists each season. He doesn't win faceoffs enough to warrant putting him on a line with Jack Hughes (protecting Jack is the only reason NJ would have more than a passing interest) lastly, he is on a bad contract, making $5.5 million till 27-28. He is too expensive for a tertiary piece at best. Timo Meier is where the money is going, not Josh Anderson.
Sabres are interested in Boeser and have three 2nd round picks in 2023.

Not sure why there are so many "Sens rumors trades"…. They aren't making the playoffs…Why is it assumed that they are buyers?…. Approaching the deadline they should be sellers!
Always find chat about Josh Anderson kind of amusing. Guy is over rated in my view, but guess I'm in a small minority. Devils main focus is likely on Meier, but need Plan B's and C's just in case. I'd be surprised if Demko was traded, but it's the Canucks, so who knows. Boeser tougher to trade. Hefty contract that he's not earning, and all contenders have cap issues, so Canucks would have to take a questionable contract back in return.
Prediction;. Islanders squeak in to WC#2 playoff spot and UPSET the President's Trophy winning Bruins in round 1.
Why would NJ offer Hughes or Nemec? Anderson isnt even worth a second round pick.
What are the chances the islanders see how the fit is and if it doesn’t work out then maybe ship Horvat to Seattle. Possible that Vancouver didn’t want to trade Horvat to Seattle
You can never get greedy on a trade prior to this year Bo points were max 40 -50 points avg last 7 years 1 good year doesn't mean he always gonna score 50 goals every year
love Canucks trade if u go to islanders chats they r pissed knowing they wont win the cup and lost there number 1 prospect in Raty snd a 1st rounder that should be a good D man in this deep draft. there is no reasonable way the canucks would entertain moving demko unless the return was ridiculous. Another first rounder a prospect and a young player or even multiple first rounders. None of these make any sense for any team in the league
The reason why we feel underwhelmed caused ratyyy after coming to AHL has been mediocre I know what his potential is but it’s only if our management can properly grow him plus beauville is 3rd liner at best maybe someone to help lazar with penalties the first might be juicy If it becomes 13-25 could be a studs of a player but it’s not a bad trade cause Bo was on a expiring contract plus the nucks have literally no cap to sign him sooooo atleast we got something better than a bag of pucks

Player, Prospect and pick. Not sure what Vancouver fans expected. Mediocre 4$ million dollar forward is a little underwhelming but the Islanders best prospect who lead the Finns to silver in the summer world juniors and a first round pick for an unsigned UFA. That seems great. Beauvillier is a talented 25 year old who may improve. I like him too but he's currently overpaid for what he provides. Vancouver doesn't need more 4$ million plus wingers.
Demko is at his lowest value right now. What would he bring? LA needs a goalie. Pittsburgh is not trading Jarry. He's a top ten guy right now. Demko is like a bottom six guy. Nobody is buying high on demko. Collin Dellia is outplaying him right now. What do you get for 10 minute a game penalty killer Watson? Tyler Motte? 9 points in 34 games.
Josh Anderson has looked terrible. What do you think you get get for him? First round pick for Anderson. I would take that so quick. $5.5 million for this year and four more. He has managed 14 goals but only 19 points in 49 games. The ripped upon Beauvillier for 4.125 million gave them 9 goals and 20 points in 49 games. Yes give me a first round pick for Josh Anderson and let me get this ridiculous contract off the books.
Josh Anderson has the elements of a great hockey player. Good size , reasonable speed , pretty hard wrist shot, nice strength can fight if needed. Unfortunately you put it all together and he is not actually a very good hockey player. If you had him on the third line and he was getting paid a couple million I'd be thrilled for the couple times a year the puck bounces his way and he gets a critical goal or takes over a period or game. He is not a play driver and that's what that salary implies he is.
Trade Josh Anderson.
Calgary could use Boeser come playoffs. They do have kids in AHL to ship Canucks way. Demko could end up in LA to shore their goal. LA has tones of youth in AHL to come Canucks way. Team is going younger it will take 3 to 4 years for Canucks

The only reason I disagree with the devils take strongly is The devils have said that they don't want to Any Buddy outside of the 25 year old age gap .
