  1. I dont think ramgers are far off I wouldn't hate to see chytil and or gauthier on top line rw… if not stay with kakko and or panarin but keep chytil on the wing and if gonna trade anywhere get a depth rw and teows can get him for a second or kravtsov maybe a kicker hawks retain half salary … championship pedigree at 2nd or 3rd line centre and stay with line so chemistry develops… laffy and kakko or chytil with teows in the middle they will feed off of him

  2. Also on the pp gotta split up fox and panarin there both same pass 1st player with gamebreaking skill 1 on each pp line and split the time up evenly

  3. Rangers have issues scoring especially off rebounds and the forecheck . .they have needed a right winger for years …23 points is bs …for kakko .. Barkley is a third line guy ..Vesey .. LaFreniere is useless why was this guy taken first overall ….

  4. The way the team is constructed currently, with the abundance of left wingers and their Long NMC contracts, you do not need a top 6 rw. These LW’s are just going to have to learn to play rw. The team needs the shut down line of Trocheck vesey Goodrow to remain and I believe the trade deadline can be used to shore up the 4th line into another shutdown / energy line. We need more of a defensive minded 4th line center, Nick bonino or bleuger and a defensive minded checking rw for line 4 motte or jeannot. The
nyr are rife with skill , and they are stacked on the top 2 lines where they deserve to be . Some LW’s have to learn to play Rw .

    Pan- zib – Kreider
    Laf- chytil- kakko
    Vesey – Trocheck – Goodrow
    Motte- Bleuger/Bonino/ Lafferty-jeannot

Other than Trocheck , vesey and Goodrow , the teams forwards are a liability defensively…Also , the bottom 6 can be used to pk, while keeping lines 1 and 2 skill players rested for pp. Kreider has to play rw , mostly his goals scored are from right in the crease or a breakaway so it really doesn’t matter it’s not that huge of a transition. And if you want a 7 year deal with a NMC the least you can do is play where the team needs you to be, and under this plan you likely can even add a quality 6 or 7 defenseman.

  5. I still don't know what to think about Laf…part of me wants him to stay and hopefully develop to the guy he was supposed to be…part of me however also thinks that he's gotten enough time to proof himself… didn't deliver for a 1st round pick. Give him the rest of the season. If he fails, trade him

  6. Toews would be a nice pickup. LaF is a bottom six player unfortunately. Chytil and Kakko are great together and LaF just fits in with the chemistry. We could use another young winger and a solid centreman.

I think making Chytil work with a rush player like Trocheck could be valuable. Trocheck doesnt fit with anyone hes been paired with yet.

  7. IS Trocheck behind the problem with the Rangers power play issues ? Sorry in advance guys but this is long winded – I have plenty of leisure time on my hands .
Hockey pundits are a bit skeptical about Bo Horvat's breakout season -his 'walk season" if you will because he is due a new deal and his offensive numbers are ridiculous – the reason for concern is his scoring % (goals /per shots taken ) is 21.7 % – well above his typical 14% average .. So they feel this years numbers will be hard to mimic in the following years .
I mention him and those comments about him because they absolutely mimic Kreider's performance last year .
Kreider had 26 power play goals last year – the previous years were 11 , 9 ,7 and 7 on the PP ..He scored almost as many last year as his best three years combined -COMBINED!!! A career season with 52 goals -he never scored more than 28 in a season . Kreider's scoring % was 20.2 last year -and this year 13.4% … Did anybody think Kreider was going to continue posting those type of numbers this year ?
Ryan Strome is not 'the key " missing from this years Ranger PP – Strome had 5 PP goals -9 assists last year on the PP / while this year Trocheck has 8 goals /5 assists and plenty of season left to grow those numbers ..
