  1. For some reason I do not believe Fitzgerald will be the highest bidder. If Rangers want him and offer Laf then he’s going to NY. Fitz might even have a hard time putting Holtz in there because he can become Meier in the near future and cost a lot less.

  2. Idk about the rangers…. David Quinn has coached Kakko and Laf. He will ruin them forever. 1st, Holtz, and Nemec for Meier

  3. In the old days, the Rangers would win and everyone else would just hope they crashed and burned with their decision. In some ways the cap has been good and would have worked perfectly if it was designed for franchises with ownership that could afford to actually afford it. Unfortunately now it’s just a welfare situation for franchises in markets that don’t generate enough revenue.

  4. Casey is a devils fan. Why would the devils give up a prospect like that? That's the kind of players that will give it their all every night because they love the team. You don't trade that kind of guy.

  5. If we trade Laf it’s just a huge indicator that the organization has failed him in his player development

  6. Logan mailloux had a hat trick last night and the last one was a Michigan. You should talk about it.

  7. Sabres are rumored to be interested. Rangers will never offer Laffy in that trade. Rangers thought they could have Eichel for peanuts so can’t see them offering enough for Meier either. Nils Lundkvist was off the table for example only for them to trade him to Dallas later for a conditional 1st and a 4th.

  8. If the Devils do get Meir, they won’t give up Luke or Nemec. Maybe a first, third, seamus Casey, and Alexander Holtz

  9. lol good one Leggo. I kind of want to see him go to NJ. Rangers have so many super stars but still don't end well. I hope JT Miller goes to someone like Carolina

  10. Rangers suck lol 😂 they always want the best of the best, well Timo Meier is one they won’t land, I bet us The Devils land Timo Meier, I think NJD lands Meier it just makes more sense! 🔥🔥🔥🖤 LGDDDD! I think my team the Devs get Timo also Timo was supposedly spotted in Mexico 🇲🇽 with Tatar, Hischier, Haula & Sigenthaler during the All Star ⭐️ Break on vacation there, I think is The Devils 😈 have a better chance a way better chance of winning the Bidding war!

  11. I should be a Sharks fan but most of the local fans here just go for selfies and food and scream when they score but not really understanding the game at all.

  12. The one point you missed is the cap implications. Devils can actually afford to resign Meier. The Rangers cannot. It would be a pure rental. In this respect, I think the Devils would be willing to offer more. Rangers would be foolish to trade Laf or Kakko for a rental.

  13. holtz, mukhamadullin, johnsson (cap reasons), and our 2024 1st would be a fair deal

  14. As a Rangers fan, I would love to hear that conference call ( unedited). Hmm curiosity 🤔

  15. Everyone is so high on the Rangers going deep into the playoffs the NJ's pick could be lower when the dust settles so that is more of a toss up. New Jersey has better goalie prospects and I could even see Blackwood going as a salary dump.
I think the Devils' 2023 1st, Daws or Mukhamadullin(your choice), and Holtz and Johnson as a salary dump,
Is enough to get the job done.

  16. Rangers are linked to every major FA or trade target every year, so whatever to that rumor. Watch CAR swoop in and steal him and NJ and NYR both miss out lul.

  17. Glad to hear you think the Devils will beat the Rangers in the first round 😜. The best package that I could see the Devils comfortably making would be: Holtz, Casey, ‘23 1st, and ‘24 2nd.

  18. For the Rangers, a good price would be Alexis Lafreniere, Adam Sykora, a conditional 2nd round pick who becomes a 1st round pick if the team wins the Stanley Cup. Unlike Bo Horvat, Timo Meier is not a free agent at the end of the season. That's why the price would be higher. If they can't sign him this summer, the team could get a good return. An issue for the Rangers is the cap.

  19. Seravalli is an idiot. The rangers do this solely to keep players from coming to Jersey. Comical and probably why they don't win cups. Horribly run franchise with a terrible owner.

  20. Holtz, Mukhamadullin, Sharangovich and a first for Timo. 8 x 8.5M. Jack will get a pay raise in the next couple of years so they’ll both be at 8.5 mil

  21. I really do not buy that the Rangers are actually in on him. IIRC Staple even reported they don't want to move their 1sts.
