This gallery of photos should be shown every time someone says the All Star Game is dumb and shouldn’t happen. It can be so much fun for kids.

This is so awesome!! I Remember being that age the players didn’t know or think about really interacting. Not saying they were not nice. My father knew someone at the old Boston Garden and after an afternoon game I got to meet some of the player outside the locker room. Terry O’Reilly was so nice but I froze up. He smiled. The rest just took my program and signed it handing it back to me. I got to meet Stan Jonathan, Rick Middleton and a few others.
The most interesting person I met that day was Bobby Shmautz. They first brought me and my brother into the locker room. Most were in later dress so they thought it was safe. Except Shmautz. He was standing bare ass and one of the players saw us and yelled “Put some clothes on”! They all burst out laughing. We were whisked out of there. As a kid I loved Shmautz but never expected to see him naked.
