  1. The president's trophy winner is twice as likely to win the Cup as any of the other 15 teams. So it's as good an indicator of future success as anything, but far from a sure thing. What's it not is a curse.

  2. Krejci has made the Bruins a 2-line juggernaut. That’s the difference. Last year, not having a second scoring line (and having to heavily rely on Bergeron-Marchand-Pastrnak) is what ended up being their undoing.

  3. Of course it’s great. Now if they figure out how to create some space against the Hurricanes and actually possess the puck, good things can happen. What team or teams do best against Carolina… what is it about those teams approach that makes them so.

  4. I have to separate me the bitter Flyers fan from me the big hockey fan, and enjoy when I am seeing something special. Just wish it hadn't been Boston. Or Pitt, or Washington, or the Rangers, Devils, Isles. Or Tampa. Oh, or Florida or Carolina. Or Columbus. 😛

I have seen some amazing things in hockey. Sometimes unfortunately it happened to my teams. But I still did see something special. This could be one of those things.

  5. Bruin's fan (and now first year season ticket holder). Been going to games since 2018ish and been watching since 2007.

Only "weakpoint" of the Bruin's is Smith and Hall.

    1. Smith just seems to be lacking and doesn't make bad plays.. but he doesn't make good plays. Doesn't seem like his name ever comes up and he is invisible
    2. Hall… Not an MVP, everyone talks about how he was one but he is amazing 2% of the time and okish 98% of the time

  6. All Star game ? What a useless piece of crap. No Krakens as Matty was assaulted by some hack and as usual the NHL doesn't know what to do. This is why the NHL will never get proper respect diwn here in the USA.

  7. I hate no team more than I hate the Boston bruins, that being said, they are so much better than the panthers of last year. They were better than florida last year too. This record makes sense to me, doesn’t mean I ever would come close to having them beat the hurricanes in any scenario, sure it happens but I’ll never pick that to happen.

  8. So, who is the favorite then as of right now come playoff time? If your answer is "I don't know"…that's not an answer to who is the current favorite….whom is Boston. If things change in the future that's more than possible, but as of right now you can't tell me any other team is the favorite over them.

  9. "I'm just glad they are still in the conversation" Conversation…? This could end with them being one of the top 3 record finishes of all-time in the league's history. Shannon….it's ok to act excited about such a team, and to give them their due publicly.

  10. Probably most complete team in all facets of the game.. however would probably would put them just below Canes and Lightning offensively…Defensive/Goal probably top in the League.

  11. Bruins need to add a middle 6 RW to play on the 3rd line with Coyle and then a bottom 6 C/RW who can also play top 9 (Like Rich Peverley in 2011). That and some depth D I think they can make a deep run.

  12. Tampa is a tough place to play. Lost be one goal. Florida should have been a win, but sometimes the other team just palys better. Carolina was always going to be tough, but a nice win in Toronto. 5 out of ten points on a tough road trip.

  13. I didn't know what was going on until late October, but as noted already, this team looks better than any Bruins team since 2011. Krejci's return has been key, Lindholm on D, Ullman playing in another galaxy, that's just a sketch…everybody does their job.

Yes, they can look tired at certain points in the schedule, viz., Seattle & Carolina. TB & FL could have gone other ways. This is still a very notable, and possibly historic, team.

Placate the Injury Gods, is all I can say.
