Slow starts have been a problem for 3 years. What else is new ? Torts made a bold ambitious statement to the fans & his team made him look like a fool.
The Flyers desperately need an elite playmaker. TK can not be the best playmaker on his line. The PP is difficult to watch. Tippet is by far the best player on the team when it comes to zone entries. I am prepared to take heat for my next statement. Owen Tippett should be tried at Center. He has all the tools to be successful. If you can look at Cutter Gauthier being a center then you can try Tippett. I am sure Russ will disagree but it is obvious to me.
I have been watching a lot of the Phantoms recently and I am hopeful with their progress. Forester is a legit prospect. I see a minimum of a 2nd line winger. I was impressed and surprised with his skating. He showed a good burst of straight line speed on several occasions. I see a lot of confidence in his game. Lycksell is a good NHL prospect who will slot as a 3rd line winger and with possible 2nd line upside. He is versatile as he has played center in the past. The one guy who surprised me was Adam Ginning. I thought he was solid all around. I think their is some offensive potential. Very physical and a good puck mover. Ersson is the real deal. It will interesting to see if Kolosov comes over next year.
