    For those who have sat in the Rehmann Club and/or the Motor City Club, what is the difference in the two, if any? I’ve sat in the Player’s Club earlier this year, are the other clubs basically the same as the PC minus the free liquor and view of players? I’m looking to surprise my girlfriend with tickets and want to make sure I choose right for how much money I’m paying lmao.

    I should mention Vrana is my favourite wing and I don’t want to see him get moved!

    I feel like whenever people discuss the Chiarot contract the context of the signing is completely dismissed. The defense free agent market last year was BLEAK. Take a look at the list of available defense [free agents](https://www.spotrac.com/nhl/free-agents/2022/defenseman/ufa/) and tell me who Detroit should’ve acquired to surround the team. The next two highest paid D men were Leddy and Gudbranson if that tells you anything else about the market.

    I think we should bring back Larkin, but justifying overpaying him as “the cap is rising” is irresponsible. Kinda like someone who’s a reckless spender. Assuming he gets his 9M, is he worth (vs contracts with 5+ years):

    1.0M more than Hughes (8.0M)

    1.9M more than Thompson (7.1M)

    0.6M more than Stutzle (8.4M)

    1.7M more than Hischier (7.3M)

    0.5M more than Hintz (8.5M)

    1.1M more than Suzuki (7.9M)

    0.5M more than Horvat (8.5M)

    1.0M more than Miller (8.0M)

    0.5M more than Zibanejad (8.5M)

    0.8M more than Thomas (8.2M)

    It especially hurts that so many of those contracts are in our division and conference. How are we gonna compete? If it was up to me 8.3M would be the absolute max

    [Hockey Guy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orKaiiwyEno&ab_channel=TheHockeyGuy) really hit it out of the park with his critiques of the league’s short sightedness when it comes to money. Most of you younger people don’t remember the days when hockey was overtaking the NBA in popularity before this league shot itself in the dick by going with Versus instead of ESPN. The league has always been about short term profits ahead of long term growth and I’ve seen no change in that philosophy. It’s sad because this game is so beautiful and exciting but because of the NHL’s short sightedness and other capital realities it’s been relegated to a lower tier.

    After seeing the link a few comments down about the auctions for the baskets of different players and their favorite things, what would you all put in a basket if you were in their shoes?

    I’d probably have a container of peanut butter filled pretzels, a bag of Reese’s (any type of their holiday themed shapes), a big Brita container for filtered tap water, a team-branded insulated water bottle, a team-branded 1/4zip, a tin of the hair styling paste I use, and probably an eBay gift card (which would be sports cards or vinyl for me).

    Raymond is a +250 for getting 3 shots or more.. I had to go look at his game log but sure enough dude averages 2 shots on net a game roughly. That’s super surprising to me

    I was really looking forward to watching the first game back tonight. Had a bad Taste in my mouth since that NYI game. Got offered some sweet tickets to the msu basketball game tonight so I gotta miss it. Bitter sweet
